I agree Neil that it is a LAME excuse... and that's because I know better than everyone here that even when I was for 2 months in Special Forces I was out of the camp at least twice a week. I agree with all said about Blade BUT if you have not experienced the compulsory military service I think all of you don't have the right to judge it. Calling and giving someone the label of 'Coward' because he is trying to avoid military service is ridiculous. In all the NON-mercenary countries EVERYBODY, and I mean EVERYBODY tries to avoid for a couple of years the compulsory military service (with university papers and other ways). When you are 18 and you just start your life you don't think about your country in case of war but for yourself (Which anyway, even if there was a war situation it is not the 18 yo who will save us). Also when the years pass, the compulsory service reduces in months till in a couple of years will be replaced with mercenary only. For me RWG1 and Blade are dead and I agree with most of your point BUT this. P.S. In my country we HAVE compulsory military and I went in time when I was 18. BAD decision because if I had delayed it a couple of months instead of 18 months I would have done only 12.

Newbie question here.. How much a lightly Used Sub costs? Is it worth to buy a 800$ movement and a 300$ MBW case and probably a genuine bracelet and put them all together with modifications (as Ubi says).. It seems a bit crasy to me, but I don;t know many things about Rolex.. Just that on ebay the other day it was sold an Explorer in like new condition (genuine of course) for 1350£ which is cheap if you like Rolex...

I know what you mean about DON's straps. I still have his shrinked black seal (his softest strap as he said) on my deployment and it is very soft. BUT still not even close to BOB vertigo quality. As far as I know they make their straps in Switzerland (and not in Asia like most of the low cost strap makers - DON-Taikonaut etc). Their vertigo buffalo hides are extremely soft and supple and the BEST part is that they SMELL high quality leather What BOB you have? You shouldn't definately compare his VERTIGO line with any of his other straps. It is adressed to a completely different buyers group. This is on the way to me Mmmmmmm... cashmere

The vertigo line is their HIGH end one.. So you can expect the best. I have some of his straps for months and they are superb. Ostrich, Shark and basic line straps are DEAD cheap on the price but at least better quality than the rep crap straps for someone who doesn't want to spend $$ on straps. The Vertigo are comparable to the better quality straps with a perfect price. Imagine that the only straps I own at the moment except my own, are BOB vertigos.

Correct.. if you have seen a genuine Panerai movement it look SO SO different than the rep one. Even the new with the swan neck is still far from the genuine finish. So if you compare it side by side with a genuine you can ALWAYS find out the rep by looking at the movement
