  1. Although I am not a 24 fan this is a beautiful watch you have Warren.. and The Zigmeister did again its magic!!! Bad pics though
  2. I hope you understood from the photos that the way the original 3646 was made is COMPLETELY different than any modern watch rep or gen. The bezel is screwing in the caseback and the case is just the surround piece. It's amazing !! The guy who made the case has not been accused of building a fake because he is not. There wouldn't be any Panerai markings anywhere and with a Cali dial it will be a proper homage.
  3. It says 616 on the top plate
  4. I think you'd be better without that info..
  5. Yes and Yes.
  6. Look how a proper 1:1 3646 is made and you will see that Wm case is not that accurate

    What To Make?

This is not a 'historic' J series crown guard you have there. It is from contemporary Automatic models. Brushing this as suggested will not make it accurate for manual wind models. THey are two COMPLETELY different cgs. If you want to make an accurate replica it should be an automatic like the 104 / 164
  8. Amazing watch Warren.. congrats.. It just needs two things: 1. Kevin's / Adeeos 1:1 3646 case (ain't cheap but this movement really deserves it) 2. A sewn-in 26mm strap. This strap with the screws and the 24mm size is really bad
  9. Beautiful collection Simon.. Can I be a member of your society without owning one?
  10. It is a bad fake of course... Probably a Pam Troll-mersible
  11. Worst buckle ever!! Not even close to the original GPF plus with a SPRINGBAR?
  12. Sorry rolli but I don't like this oxblood colour. Had one in my hands couple of weeks ago and looked weird and didn't do it for me.
  13. That's not a 250 and definately not an unusual strap combo (half panerais come with this strap as stock)

    Best PAM36?

Excellent info.. Thanks a lot Jay
  15. Couldn't have said it better.. Move on guys. It's not the end of the world. We all backing up our Admin and the mod team decision or we wouldn't have been here in the first place.
  16. Glad prices went up. That means my 112 worths more this year

    249?

My cali dial is not a 249... First and biggest difference the size. Mine is 45mm and 249 is 47mm. Basically it depends on what you want. A hommage to the Cali dial ? or a Replica of the Panerai 249 ?
  18. An old photo I have
  19. 1st: A huge proper 1:1 AP T3 2nd: IWC Big Pilot 3rd: RJ TItanic DNA. Anyone want to sink a boat and wait to rust?
  20. Thickerst strap I have is 6,5mm thick and soft as butter Thicker than the watch.. LOVE it
  21. case is maybe from a later L dial that has been put to the watch when he replaced the T dial. Also, I have 2 different cgs: the one is pav (a series) and the other mx (h series).
  22. The plastic case doesn't seem to be from dial. It says MX while a dial from the tritium era should say PAV something? Unless it My OEM A series cg is PAV and H series MX I agree though he worked on Vendome service.... For sale? Well that would be something interesting we have to see
  23. Sorry guys I wasn't the one who got the dial. All I said is that he got an offer he couldn't refuse but not from me..
  24. He got a private offer he couldn't refuse. The dial was 100% gen
  25. Nice watch but the strap is too vintage and bold for this watch. A sleek black with black calf strap would be a killer combo
