Don't quite agree.. there are Pams very accurate from the box (especially some SUbs). The point is that makers tried to use G series Pam parts to the H series which is completely wrong because they are different.

Probably different rep cases.. for example Davidsen's case is much bigger than jimmys and reps.. I guess there will be many different factories making Panerai cases so there will be a difference.

That's true.. they have a looooong way to go to do a seriously accurate H,I series Luminor rep...

I found out that jimys crystals are just just a tad smaller than the rep crystals... which makes them interchangable BUT... puting a rep crystal to a jimmy case can be done (with a bit more force thn usual) and be extra tight. puting a jimmy crystal on a rep case is fitting very easily just using the thumbs which makes me wonder about the waterproofing...

Well I couldn't have said it better myself.. To be honest my projects are B series watches that's why the more accurate cases.

I received a Daytona dial and movement for my uncle's watch and i had to install the hands.. I removed them from my old watch and I installed the minute and hour hand very easy and succesfuly. But what about the chrono hands? I don't have a loop and i cannot see how to put them in place.. THey look like both hands and base are pins.. Randy said he puts them in with a toothpick.. but how you hold them without damaging them? Any help will be much appreciated but it seems like a mission impossbile

When I will get tired of this watch it will only go to one of my friends in this forum because if it goes to wrong hands someone can easily be scammed and think this is a genuine. The last thing i want is to see the watch on ebay selling for 6000$ I already had a NON-AR saphire for this watch.. But yesterday morning I removed the AR coating from a rep saphire glass to use for my destro22... I will try as well rivers spring bars but i would prefer to have screw in for more accurate.

Well to be honest from what i ve heard and experienced with parts Davidsen's cases have their own construction.. They are bigger with bigger glass, different cg and screws, bigger dial hence the only thing interchangable without mods with the 'genuine, jimmys and regular reps' is only the caseback. I never had a Davidsens watch to be honest for the above reason + the awful font on the dial... (the Amerigo Vespucci though has a very very nice font..) I think that he does what all the rep manufacturers do.. having 1st 2nd and 3rd versions for people to upgrate

I will try to do one when i will do the upgrate on my destro.. Having said that though i will be very scared and i don;t know if i can be so cool like on the radiomir... Because here I have parts costing 500-600 euros and since i am not an experienced watchmaker if i do something wrong... I thought about rivers springbars but it will be my last resort. I will have to buy the genuine screws first and then we'll see...

If we want to find the most closest to this then it is the 114.. Same as this in SS. L SWISS L and white Base. The 010 is Tritium dial.

WHat the topic says.. which Pam you bought and didn't liked it at all? For me there are 2 contestants.. The 029.. and of course the Fiddy... At the 029 I didn't liked at all the center seconds hand and of course the dial. It looked very cheap in my eyes.. At the Fiddy I think it was too big in the first place. Although I have 7,2 inches wrist and working out I think the best size for me is the 44mm. I tried to love the fiddy.. Got many straps for it, relumed it put a saphire but nothing...

Thanks guys.. it is nice to se it finished ABout the strap I guess.. this all black CK , the distressed MP and a nice tan will be the best for the white dial. The only strap I don't like on this watch is the Metta.
