  1. I just purchased another 2254.50 SMP and have owned one a couple years back. I have handled a rep of the watch. There is ZERO, I mean ZERO comparison in the way of fit, finish and quality. Not even close folks.
  2. Agree with Frank. Now this, is one of the best chronos you can buy...
  3. I'll post some scans once it arrives. I owned one a couple years back and sold it to fund a gen PO. I actually prefer the SMP to the PO and feel it is one of the best preowned bargains for the money.
  4. I agree. I have roughly $1,550 in to my 1680 at this point and I can't sell it at $1,150. So...... tells you another thing as well. Not many people interested in buying a fully modded piece at a very good price (at least un my humble opinion).
  5. Thanks Mickey! So... being the stickler-for-details kinda guy I am, I should wait for the CHS Eta version without the movement issues. Any idea when that will be available? Anyone? Thanks as always gents.
  6. OK gents... so if I definitely want an ETA version and I want to have the least amount of potential issues, am I buying the CHS or IHS?
  7. Did someone say, vintage?
  8. Got it, Ali. Thank you my friend.
  9. I'm considering adding gen endpieces to my BKMariner and wondered, what are the "correct" endpieces that will fit? 580's? Thanks gents!
  10. My and my father-in-law's BKMariners arrived today and all I can say is... wow! Tremendously beautiful Sub with excellent fit and finish and great substance. The pearly is great and all mods performed to perfection. The watch is hefty too! I have owned a gen 16610 and let me tell you, this one is all the business. If you are on the fence, jump off... now! Order yours ASAP.
  11. I have been looking for an Explorer 1 for a while now. If any of your Franken experts would like to build me a nice one and make a few $$$, please PM me! I'm interested! Thanks gents...
  12. You don't know what cha got, till it's gone sometimes. I've got some mods that need to be done and I'm itchin' already!
  13. Is there getting anything by Mr. Takashi? My watch is a Silix-Prime with A/R and then The Zigmeisterfied with lume job and day/date wheels. In my opinion, this is about as close to gen as one can get. I know I mentioned before bit I will again... this baby has a 54+ hour power reserve as well. And no, I'm not jokin'.
  14. Wondering which dealer sells the best Explorer 1 and if there is any that will accept gen parts? Thanks as always!
  15. Keeps excellent time and... 54 hour power reserve!!!
  16. Well... here's mine:
  17. Sounds like you had bad luck. My 3717 is spec-fuccin-tacular! Now The Zigmeister-fied with proper date wheels and lume job. Mine also has an unheard of 54 hour power reserve!!!!! Outfitted on a brown IWC gator strap with signed buckle. I hope things work out for you.
  18. My fave.... and soon to be improved on, again!
  19. You got it. I will wait for Rob. And then, yes, the other dial goes up on the block!
  20. Thank you, Sir. So perhaps Rob is THE man for the job then? I guess I will need to go hunt him down. I'll try Aruba first.
  21. In my best Ace Ventura voice... "Alllllllllriggggghty then" No suggestions gents?
  22. Gents, I am looking for a good guy to install my new Phong 1680 dial in my MBW. If any of you could suggest a good resource, preferably in the US, I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks!
  23. Wondering if a NDTrading 1680 dial will fit my MBW without any alterations to the dial? Anyone have any input or experience?
  24. Wondering... how many of us are there? I mean really? You know who I mean. If you are a "perfectionist" that wants the absolute ultimate watch, in your heart at least. Well, I am one of them for sure. My MBW 1680 will not be perfect until I hunt down a gen dial and have it installed. I am now convinced I need to do this. Is the watch nice with everything else I've done to it? Sure the hell is. BUT... is it "perfect"? Nope. Not until I have a gen dial. So... what is a wack-job like me to do? I mean I go back and forth and say... "Well, it is a great watch without the gen dial. BUT, imagine how great it'd be WITH a gen dial". So... here I am... with this constantly on my mind. Is this normal? I mean to be thinking about a watch dial every hour or so each day? Am I Mad?... or am I just a watch "perfectionist"? Hmmmmmmmm....
  25. Very nice. I can't pry mine off my wrist!
