  1. Hike that strap looks right at home on the 217.
  2. R sell one of the children to buy a PAM000 for a daily!..
  3. Hi All, Well the sun was out this morning and I jumped at a chance to take some better pictures of my PAM312K which I recently picked up. Hope you like.
  4. Hey guys... just took these quick pictures this afternoon. Some movements in the collection coming up. Not sure if this is a permanent of temporary fixture but believe me - it stands up against its big brother the 233. To think that my 111K cost $6400 AUD and this was cheaper is scary! It's a hell of watch.
  5. haha.. she just got back from 3 weeks traveling Dubai, Egypt, Israel and London with her mother. Engagement is certainly on the cards for 2010 but not with my 233 money!.. GOOD LUCK!
  6. These are the pictures I took of the modded V5 I was referring to where you can kind of see what I mean about the crystal.
  7. There have been so many versions of this watch - it does my head in. I had for a few weeks a Vac modded DSSD V5 from Eurotimez. I actually really liked the watch and with Vac's mods (mostly relume, bezel painting and bracelet oiling). The reason I didn't keep it thought was because the crystal is so badly distorted on the V5. I read the review a little quickly but how do you find the crystal on this... V6??... The pics show it to be fine. Thanks in advance Lankai.
  8. Well the thing is mate that I bought the watch when the AUD was 70c to the USD. Its now up around 92c and the offer I have will get me 95% of my money back which wont come along again until the AUD drops significantly against the USD. Economists are predicting that the AUD may exceed the USD in 2010 for a small period of time. I'm basically getting out while I can and going to put the money into something more productive (property). Ill pick up another Gen though - dont worry about that. lol. Ill have the 312 for a few months in between while I decide before passing that on to another friend.
  9. Yeah you got me there. It's the movement that has me interested - but then I should go for a Big Ingeniur so I can really appreciate it. Actually it looks like the 233 is being traded against a 2 month old 312 with heaps of cash difference. Then the 312 is going to another friend in Feb who is saving the cash to buy it (so I will be minding it). Ill then have all my money back and will decide what to do next. In the meantime, the Vac BP which is so accurate will keep me happy.
  10. Thanks guys. Yes I am working on downgrading the 233 possibly to a 312 (I know - criminal!). Was offered a good local price. I am either going to get another Gen watch (IWC BP or DSSD) or put the money in the bank. lol.
  11. Hey all... Well finally got this 188 finished and I took a couple quick pictures this afternoon. Similar in spec to my old 188 which I sold some time back (which was subsequently stolen!). It took forever to get everything together for this in the past few months but I was lucky enough to have a 2nd Lello DW from when I bought my first 188 and an OEM crown. Old case, old dial and no AR on the crystal - this is a very rare and special 188 breathing via an ETA7753. Anyway - enjoy.
  12. These watches pictured are of the updated darker grey dial? Look great and I too prefer it on the rubber.
  13. A really impressive combination of pieces. This hobby has come such a long way. Love it L.
  14. Guys this is a Vac build V5 from Eurotimez afaik. (painted bezel, serviced, lume - NO AR) Borrowed it off a friend yesterday. Bracelet has been oiled and the watch is fully sealed. It's a killer watch. My only gripe is the massively distorted crystal.
  15. Hi All, Got this one today to see how I like it - so far I do. A couple pics taken this afternoon. Rolex DSSD.
  16. Replied via PM also but I am in. Sounds good.
  17. Missed this thread - great pictures Lani. Especially like the strap on the Top Gun.
  18. I would give my left nut for that strap. Incredibly hard to find.
  19. lol chief... that's your handy work on the BP mate. Better than OEM!
  20. Yup new iPhone camera looks the goods. Very handy.
  21. Playing around with the camera still and just snapped these beauties.
