  1. lol.. i'm sure the ring was worth it. A couple fresh ones...
  2. Hi All, Been a while since I took some pictures. Didnt have much time so only settled on the one. Available in both 800x600 and linked in 1280x854. http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n408/elisix_album/233K%20on%20Mauser%202/DSC_0005.jpg I've been toying with the idea of moving it along by the end of 09.. but nothing stands out as a replacement. I had an incredible time yesterday at a jeweller in Sydney with whom I have been looking at diamond rings. I've spoken to this guy so many times but never realised how many Panerai he owned. I had on the wrist yesterday a new DLC 332, Ceramic 292 and a bunch of others. The one that stood out for me though was the white gold Radiomir 10 Day auto GMT, the 235. Absolutely stunning. The watch that comes close to this is the 268 8 Day Radiomir with the 233 movement. The domed crystal of the 233 is very unique and hard to pass up though. I've got my eye on a Breguet XXI for early next year. Perhaps my next birthday in March. Lovely bracelet watch for work. Word is though that the AUD is going to pip the USD and hit 1.05 USD = 1 AUD. If that does happen - ill be buying a gen Fiddy and whatever else I can scrounge up the cash for. The AUD wont sit like that forever so they will be sound investments that's for sure.
  3. $2900 for a K series logo and you didn't buy it vootzilla? ... jeebus. Very good price. $3800 is the norm for the flippers on Paneristi.
  4. A MrBrown RBIII went up for sale on RG this week. It's since been pulled but I am in contact with the member. He claims to have bought this from MrBrown and got messed about- but eventually got the watch. I am inspecting this tomorrow and will report back. The guy i'm meeting seems to be young and at uni. Wealthy asian kid living in the City. But he claims that MrBrown is a watchmaker from Western Sydney. callipygian, what makes you think MrBrown is attending UNSW?
  5. Had this watch as a wallpaper for a few weeks now - love it. A rep version would be great.
  6. Crap.. I think that just about say's it all.
  7. Actually I remember speaking with him myself now that you said this. Back when he had 2 LH 111's and I was going to do a photo comparison with my Gen 111K. What a dodgy mf.. I hope Jakob didn't pay the guy?
  8. I thought jakobbh @ RG bought one of these from MrBrown... hmm
  9. Dont believe there are any good examples of the new Aquatimer's as yet.
  10. I just cannot understand why, if your going to go to the effort of releasing an updated model, you wouldn't pay attention to some of the simple things such as the metal surrounds. It's just dumb.
  11. The problem with the working PR version is of course the inaccurate appearance. And obviously with the non functional PR its not functionally accurate.

    My PAM 201/A

Looks pretty good. Only thing missing is the pre-v screws. (screw in from both sides)
  13. lol Lani. You know it was your pictures that inspired this build/purchase. Yes I have tried another strap. Its the red/black gator from HKTAN which was made for the Skyland BlackSteel. I dont have any pictures of this combination but it looks fantastic also.
  14. Actually I meant to ask, how difficult is it to source a genuine strap and deployant? I'm sure it makes a nice difference.
  15. Holy jeebus.... Dont even know what to say. What an opportunity to photograph the two side by side. Incredible. Cant believe I have not yet picked up an AP... perhaps this is it.
  16. Thanks guys. Loving it. The HKTAN is an awesome strap and great value at $190 shipped vs $500ish for the OEM.
  17. Hi Geeks.. Had some free time this afternoon and took a few new pictures of this incredible watch. I've had the BP about 2 months now and it's not skipped a beat. Running like a champ as expected. For the money, you seriously cannot find a better replicated watch - period. I've sat with the genuine BP5004 side by side a few times now and its so close, you would almost be nuts to buy the gen! If I had the cash though, I could easily be convinced to buy the gen 5005 BI however. V1 non functional PR w/ correct hands Correct lume on dial and hands Movement adjusted and regulated Rotor bearings lubed to minimize noise Chief double AR coating Datewheel modification
  18. Source an OEM croc and your in business
  19. Great pickup mate. Looks great. I gotta check this one out in person some time!
  20. Someone email Josh and see if this is going to be readily available.
  21. wonders who has the best PAM?

  22. Looks great. Be nice to see some good pics of this in person rather than dealer shots. The subdials do look a little too bright / white but overall the dial color is 100% better.
