Sorry ryaku, I have been looking for my wrist shot. Can't find one (it was soooooooo long ago) and I seriously didn't wear this watch a lot. Gave it to my brother and the crown tube was broken. The GST Ti Chrono is a way way above more superior rep than this watch. My suggestion: forget this model... you have many other watches worth buying.
-
It wears similar to GST Ti, about the same as a Submariner. This watch is IMHO not very accurate at all but my movement has been running very strong (... but the crown tube broke sometimes ago).
-
agree. Nice clip anyway.

I believe this has been written somewhere (PT?) The "wrapped" one really made of real gold. Believable if it's two tone model. They don't contain as much gold in there.

Look on your phone manual specs. It's the radiation rate. Motorola has pretty high radiation or try really old phone, they do have high emission.

Yes, you don't have to remove the bezel in order to remove the crystal. Like triplehd said, movement has to be removed first. Push the crystal from inside the watch case, out. @watcher: the modern one comes with double sided AR coating. My old gen doesn't even show trace of AR coating

Yes, the watch came from Precious Time UK. Everything is unmodded in this watch. This is a nice watch, no doubt about it but really it's not my style Wear it in good health, it's really my pleasure dealing with you JohnG. Fast payment, follows payment instruction properly too.

Point taken Let's see who will receive this watch. Interested to hear more opinions. Anyway, King has it for 235 USD listed on her website.

Aquaracer and Seamaster are both priced above this Longines too and how do you know for sure that I will never have money to buy a limited editon 50 grand watch? EDIT: Agree that gen price can't be really used as a barometer for repmakers.

Thanks a lot for your compliments Glad that you like this write up. Anyway, the markers are fine. I used a toothpick and the tip of a screwdriver to dig out the markers (thinking to reglue them) but to no avail. It seems to be sticked really well to the bezel.

sadly not my type Doesn't call me at all and the gen is still in 1000USD range (i.e.: relatively cheap). Doesn't make sense to get a rep of this watch.

Thanks a lot for the pointer Jot. I have seen the Ti + Carbon dial in person, it does have cut subdial too (does not look like on your picture). If that's the case, there may be a transitional period where they don't use cal 137? Because definitely this movement has smaller subdial spacing. EDIT: I am sorry... It is indeed using cal 137 just that the bigger subdial is smaller this time round therefore no cut. You can check that the subdial spacing is still wrong (compare it between 3 and 6 o'clock subdial. The spacing is definitely bigger on the rep).

Just a warning... This watch is a candidate for sunken datewheel problem. Nope, I have not seen the rep but I can predict it will happen (due to extra gear to make Tricompax layout on Asian 7750).

Ok... That's an EXCELLENT deal. Box, papers? How old? 1500USD is a steal price for this amazing piece.

I think so too. Jakub is doing the crystal + cyclops double AR.

Will a ETA 2836 fit into an Oris Carlos Coste

Movement can be found at 300-400USD each (ETA7750). Asian 7750 hi beat will cost you less and it's definitely better than the low beat movement. -
Me! I am an avid Sinn fan. Put deposit on Sinn U2 S but sadly it's gonna be delayed till mid August at the earliest. Currently own a 203 Ti Chrono, used to own 656 and 756. The price is not that "excellent". Has seen many on eBay Germany for less than that on bracelet.

Not possible on Chronograph model. You need ETA7750 for this watch (which costs many times more expensive than ETA2836-2). -
Ebay 'dealer' selling rep Mont Blanc Timewalkers?
takashi replied to azerbyjam's topic in Name & Shame
reported. Saw tooth rotor, lacking of fine regulator. It's asian 7750 hi beat. -
Ok... That sounds to be very very fair to you. Glad that it works out in the end.

I think I did a comparison for their products. Superluminova still aces in terms of powder size, initial glow brightness and duration of brightness.

Nice first look picture Ok.. Can be too big for me.

Preface This week's style of review is going to be different. First and foremost, I would like to start with serving you with Eyecandy Next, I will write a little bit of history about the brand and the (genuine) watch in particular and then we will go into all the dirty bits and bolts on another day . This week review will be on ebel 1911 BTR Chronograph. Eyecandy This review is dedicated to my friend By-Tor who has long been a fan of Ebel watches, 1911 BTR Chrono in particular. A special thanks to SD4K who has helped me a lot with providing me reading materials. About the Brand Quoted from Watchtime, April 2007: Founded in 1911, and family-owned for many years, Ebel made its name as a manufacturer of elegant wristwatches. When Pierre-Alain Blum, the grandson of the firm’s founder, launched the Sport Classic line in 1977, a new era began. The watches in the line featured unconventional, hexagonal, rounded, satin-finished cases and polished bezels held in place by five screws. In ensuing years, the Sport Classic acquired the status of a design icon. It became so important for Ebel that it was later renamed “1911” in tribute to the year of the brand’s founding. Ebel introduced the first chronographs with this now-familiar case in 1982, initially powered by Zenith’s El Primero caliber. In 1994, one year prior to the introduction of the exclusive Caliber 137 in the Modulor 1911 watch, Blum was forced to sell the business to the Investcorp holding company. Ebel came under the aegis of the luxury group LVMH (Mo

This watch looks good Like it more than the pure Ti version. It's a shame that the size is simply too big for my skinny wrist. However, I agree, this is a super rep. The only glaring flaw on this piece is the datefont. Even with ETA datefont, it's still wrong.
