  1. Wish my PP looks this beautiful.
  2. I found one more problem. The date on 28th has paint missing. I got it directly from the dealer, and I am so disappointed at this PP now. Don't want to mention who is the dealer, hope he will change it for me.
  3. I am disappointed at the quality of the PP I got. The bezel is badly scratched, the 4 lug screws do not sit into the hole with with same distance, second hand badly scratched, no hacking on the movement (wonder if it really is a Swiss ETA?), and worst the watch doesn't always run after winding - seems somehow I have to swing it hard to get the wheel start spinning, and the craftmanship is quite rough if you compare it with for example the Chopard GT XL/HBB. No sure if I have bad luck, but at the price I paid for sure it is nowhere can be rated as "super rep". Perhaps I have to get the movement with oil service, but have no clue on how to remove the caseback!?
  4. Not a difficult job. Just hold both outer end of the link with pliers and pull, then the link will disemble. Bear in mind you will need some force to do it. The link is secured by punching pins not screws, so by applying pulling action it will open up. Give it a try.
  5. What I am afraid of is the gold plating will not last long. Still can see one of the screw on the lug plate poping up and not sitting into the slot properly. Hope it won't fall off when wearing it as I have already lost a few on the bezel and lugs.
  6. VCO surely is a beauty. But don't you dare ever to touch the screws, no matter are those on the caseback or those on the bracelet. 99% of the screw head are stripped and stuck. You can easily kill the heads while unscrewing and you are done as that screw will stuck inside forever. Resizing the bracelet is a nightmare. I have killed the bracelet already while resizing, bearing in mind I used professional Swiss made screwdrivers to do the job and still failed. The screws are simply so fragile and vulnerable. Another issue is the polished area on breaclet between the links is 100% coarse. Silky mirror finish jsut does not exist. This is one of the most painful eye-catching part of the watch.
  7. Does anyone know if a MBW version of AP RO 36mm ever exist? Don't seem to hear about it so far.
  8. Anyone got the idea if any other sources for the DW Daytona parts is possible as DW seems to be nowhere to be found now. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the info. I am tempted. BTW, are the screws holding the links good making length adjustment easy? It is well known those on the VCO ver.2 are crap making adjustment impossible becasue the screws are simply stripped upon unscrewing. I think the maker just put tons of locite when doing up the screws.
  10. Do you still see strips on the polish surface between the links. Or they are silky smooth mirror finish? This is the critical part for the bracelet to escape from fake appearance.
  11. Do the modern gen. Daytona hands fit the A7750 movement as an upgrade? Anyone tried? Thanks.
  12. But the polish part on the bracelet has such corase finish stops me from wearing it anymore. Anyone can tell it is fake straight away as VC simply cannot have such a poor craftmanship. Or is there an updated/improved rep. VCO bracelet on the market. But then the question is if it will fit the VCO ver.2 case.
  13. Just talked to ETA directly and come to understand they will no longer sell their 2892/2893 series movements to non-branded customers. So, it is mostly likely that after all the stocks incorporated with these movements in the hands of our suppliers are cleared, there will be no more ETA versions for future production. Guess why China is coming up with the Asia 2892 movement which is seen used in the Bell & Ross. Believe more new watches will be equipping this machine, just like the A7750.
  14. The hacking function on my A7750(Chopard MM GT) is for unknown reason gone. Can this be fixed? Any movement experts here can help? Thanks.
  15. Any mod expert here can help informing what drill bit size I should use to make an opening for tapping 2.5mm? Thanks.
  16. Looks like you have the old style twinlock tube which has no flutting in it. You need to drill out the inner tube using a 2.1mm bit, then your crown will fit in perfectly. Hope this helps. 17. Will the gen. AP Jumbo dial fit into the MBK model? Not sure if the case is rep to the exact spec of the gen, anyone got any idea on this? Thanks.
  18. When was that? I don't get any replies from both email adresses.
  19. Now I see what you mean. I used this tool Clamping tool to do the job for my DW Daytona pushers. For the flat head pushers I will say using a simliar tool with rubber linings on the clamp teeth. Hope this helps.
  20. I am also trying to instal the Otto pushers on the DW case but without success simply because the thread pitch does not match. Do you have any luck in putting the Otto pushers on the DW case? Thanks for your sharing in advance.
  21. If a polite request is regarded as pushy and as commands, then I am sorry for your level of understanding. Please stop using insulting words, be a gentleman. This is just purely a place for sharing and for fun. If you are so reserved in giving information then you might just don't post and keep everything to yourself, nobody will complain and you can spend all your time with your family which I also value very much too. Take it easy and relax.
  22. Really don't see the point of making this posting, may as well even save the trouble of writing and go playing with your kids.
  23. I will honestly admit I am no expert in doing mods, that's why I post for advices. If I have something to contribute, for sure I will and not hiding things up as secrets.

    DW

Does anyone know if DW is still in the business? Looking for him for the Daytona parts. Thanks.
  25. Your detailed explanation is truly amazing. Someone who is willing to take the pain and time to write this up really deserves a salute. Hope you still have time to spare with your wife and kids. Cheers.
