I don't know if they were ever federalised but the old E46 M3CSL is probably the best M car they'll ever make.

I'm just debating whether or not to buy myself the genuine titanium version of this watch. They can be had for about half the price they cost new and offer much better value than a seadweller IMO.

I've got a happy warm feeling all over. Moral of the story though: TNT post from Nederland sucks.

Review of the Rolex Explorer I replica
Febus replied to Seadweller4000's topic in Other Watch Reviews
Great review of a cruelly ignored replica. The 2 points I quoted from you- it is vulnerable. My girlfriend destroyed her Explorer I crystal on my Sinn U1-scraping the AR of the Sinn and it's super hard tegimented bezel- rep 0, gen 1. I bought the Exp 1 for my girlfriend and it looked great on her slender wrists, far better than it did on my fat ones at least. All in all a fantastic watch, I'll be buying my girlfriend a genuine so maybe I'll get chance to post my thoughts on a comparison! -
I'm not planning on actually doing any but who knows when I might need to dive to 1000M? Therefore the only sensible choice is my U1.
-
Update: It turns out the last of the watches I sent actually turned up today. That just leaves one I sent to Paris that seems to be AWOL. Maybe the French customs are having a cow because the package came from that well known centre of deviancy the Netherlands and it might be full of grade A skunk weed. Either that or some nice customs/post guy is now enjoying a 'TW best SD'. In any case TNT are not to be trusted and I'd advise any member from Nederland not to use them at all for sending stuff to other members. It just isn't worth the hassle.
-
Thanks for the comments people, I guess we wait a while then. It does seem very odd to me that one package arrives in 2 days to a place hundreds of miles away and across 2 seas and the other 2 which only have a matter of a 4 hours drive to get to haven't arrived at all. There's a moral to this story- TNT post suck. I won't be using them again. I do wonder if perhaps some of the delay is due to customs suspecting any package that comes from the Netherlands due to the rather wonderful policy on recreational smoking products.
-
Hopefully this is just me getting paranoid but I'll tell you the full story and take your advice. I posted off three watches over a week ago to trusted members of the board. One arrived. The other 2 have not. The sender TNT advises 3 working day maximum. I never used this sender before but paid extra for insurance and the packages require a signature on delivery. So I go to find out what the hell is going on and TNT tell me that because these packages are sent outside the Netherlands they cannot track them!!!!!! They say they will send out some forms to initiate an investigation but it could take upto a month. As you can imagine I'm [censored] off in the extreme with this, particularly as the people at the office where I sent it said I could use www.tracktrace.nl to monitor their progress. Turns out they were either lying or couldn't understand my Dutch or my English. So the question is this, how long do I reasonably wait for the packages to show up before refunding the other members? I trust them both to tell me if they arrive after I refund them so what I'm asking for here is a consenus on best practice. It seems to me if I wait 2 weeks from posting then I've given them maximum chance to arrive but this could just be wishful thinking on my part. What pisses me off most about this isn't the potential loss of 2 very nice and hard to find reps but the fact I'm left looking like an unreliable [censored], most likely due to the actions of some light fingered employees of the carrier. Annoyed isn't a strong enough word.

There's no doubting in my mind Hamilton is driving beyond what one would expect of someone with the level of experience he has in F1. However all the hype is driving me up the wall. I watched the ITV coverage this weekend with some mates. We decided before the program every time they said Hamilton's name we'd all do the same-in unison. We gave up after ten minutes of shouting 'Lewis Hamilton' about 50 times back at the TV- in addition to getting hoarse my girlfriend was starting to give us funny looks...............

Replicas really ignited my passion for watches. Before that all I'd ever though of was to buy a Rolex of some sort for the pose value as much as anything else. I wouldn't have cared whether is was a 'real' watch or quartz, neither did I care about the history behind them. Since becoming interested in replicas I've bought 4 or 5 genuines ranging from vintage Omega, Rolex, IWC and Sinn none of which I'd have ever bought if it wasn't for those 'cheap ass fakes' I've come to know and love. So one in the eye for people who say replicas are stealing from the trademarked brands. In my case replicas have led to me purchasing a whole bunch of (over) high priced watches I'd never have bought before. A bilt like all those MP3's I downloaded- next thing I know I'm down at the record shop spending a fortune on vinyl copies of those self same tunes..............
-
Dumb enough I wrote the first post from our hotel room on a laptop- in a hurry and didn't mention that it's a rep! Did wonder if a gen item would fit- unlikely I guess. Sad to say it looks like the watch is fit only for parts..........
-
Thanks for the reply Nanuq- any idea how I can find out that tropic number? However as I remember from reading the forum aren't you the watch killer? Maybe the tropic isn in worse condition than mine? Also an update- on examining my Sinn U1 I figured out how her Exp I rep crystal was destroyed- my one week old Sinn now has a scratch on it's crystal and a corresponding mark on it's tegimented bezel. Sinn 1- Rolex rep 0. Just adds character to my watch though............
-
My girlfriend somehow managed to smash the crystal of her explorer I so badly that the hands now reach the point of damage and won't pass beyond it. Other than that the watch is still in good working order so I'd like to salvage it. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement crystal from and if there are any EU based people who could replace it?

I for one have no feelings either way about the US or N Korea, just keeping the balance. As for Corgi, the more contributors the better, just in case anyone thought I was threadcrapping him.
-
North Korea- keeping it real, Communist style!

Just say what you think TTK, don't beat around the bush (there's some kind of pun to be had there in light of the thread starters sig pic) In the interests of political balance I'm thinking of setting this as my signature

I read this comment posted by another member with some small level of discomfort. "However I would like to second that people should post honest reviews even if they are negative... I know it may be hard to do for any number of reasons, but it's a disservice to the community if only the postives are posted and honestly, if the dealer is doing bad things, there should be no reason to fear offending them, as why would you want to do future business with a bad business person?" Can it be true that this is a problem here? When I started to think about it I often see negative posters jumped on (often for good reason as in the recent attack on Ken) and started to wonder if I had a bad experience and posted it would I be the object of vilification? Do we in fact have a conspiricy of silence here? Have to admit I've had some minor problems with dealers that I felt were outside the realms of discussion here (ie minor problems that I'd be bitching about considering the nature of the business we are involved in) So- Total honesty or a modicum of discretion?

Another Dutch Newbie Saying 'hi 2u All'
Febus replied to D@Loup's topic in Introduction/Rules/Support
Welcome to the forum, do some reading and you'll find answers to almost every replica question you can think of. It's a great place. Ik woon ook in Nederland maar ik ben een Engelsman. edit to add some bad Dutch! -
The monster is an all time classic IMO, not sure if I'm flamboyant enough for the orange dial though.
-
Haven't had time to read the whole thread but if I could see one watch custom made it would be the vintage Seamaster 300.

Shows how much I know, I thought it was all being done through his car. Maybe because the last phone I bought and the one I still use is one of these. No chance of Q branch saving my sorry ass with a blood analysis using that I'm afraid.

Q+cool gadgets? Q branch was there saving Bond's life over a car borne broadband connection. We saw some of the most awesome personal motor yachts in the world and Bond wears some top notch wrist candy. Q himself would have been a frippery in this movie.
