  1. would someone be kind enough to list any members that will both service and lume one of these and i'll get in touch with them. Planning on ordering one and have it shipped direct to be serviced etc then sent to me in Australia. Thanks guys
  2. looks like you've gotten that bad boy wet already... have you been swimming with it on? No probs?
  3. i think they were both just making some friendly banter... P.S $2.20
  4. I posted this in another section but this is probably the more appropriate place for it. As per the title - I bought an Assioma off Joshua and can't adjust the bracelet size. I bought a watch tool kit and tried the pin removal tool and it gets stuck half way so I dont want to force it anymore for fear of breaking the bracelet. Has anybody adjusted one of these. Tell me how! Pics attached - The Bracelet (note thats where the pin gets stuck, I havent used excessive force to push it through though) - The tools I have -

  6. would appreciate an invite please.
  7. I've been hunting around for a GMT watch with SS bracelet and came across this one on Joshuas site - http://www.jpc8118.com/pn08902-marina-valj...nal-p-1570.html Which is my favourite out of all the ones i've looked at, however I cannot find any information about this watch anywhere else. It seems that this watch never existed in genuine form, is that correct?
  8. I'm heading overseas in Sept and want to buy either a GMT/Dual Time watch. It can't be a mainstream expensive brand like Rolex/Omega etc because I don't want to be a mugging target (i'll be in third world countries, travelling solo) Panerai, IWC etc probably wouldn't be as easily recognised by a petty criminal. Looks don't really matter as it's just for the trip, just something reliable, splash resistant, and not overly expensive (under US$250) Rep/Gen. Your experiences/recommendation?
  9. It should be noted in the for sale section that if a watch is advertised as being serviced, that a receipt or reference be given in the advertisement. It's far too easy to say that a watch has been serviced and potential buyers are none-the-wiser. I'm not suggesting that this happened in the case but i'm sure it does happen.
  10. Marc Ross attempted to scam me, I sold my EL TW Best gold president with genuine box set etc to him, he paid by paypal and then did a charge-back as soon as he recieved it. After three months of going through the postal service and paypal the charge back was reversed and I got my money back. His paypal address was mjr_phd@sbcglobal.net at the time, and i've still got his Solon, OH address. PM me for it if you like.
  11. Thanks for the advice so far. Pics should be working now.
  12. I recently sold my Fiddy to another RWG member and the information I had given him regarding the piece was as follows - This is identical to what I was told by the dealer I bought it off, however the buyer has taken the watch to his watchmaker who advised that neither the front or back are Sapphire and the movement is not a Genuine ETA movement. I want to make things right with the buyer, can anyone shed some light on this? Will a davidsen sapphire crystal fit properly, and can a Gen. ETA movt be put into it? Or is it a case of refunding in full? Here are some pics of the piece in question.
  13. Nicholas Hacko does a lot of work via post, have a chat with him about what you need done, make sure you explain that it is a rep and see how he feels about working on it, his prices might make it not-worthwhile but you never know. http://www.clockmaker.com.au/
  14. When I was there a few years ago (before I found RWG) I went to the Ismailovski Markets, its out of the city centre but easily accessible by train or taxi. There were quite a few rep sellers there, I bought a few which after finding RWG etc I found them to be cheap crap, but I only paid about $50 each for them, cant comment on whether or not they have the quality we see on here as at the time I had no idea what to look for.
