  1. i'm working on a custom rolex movement vintage pam for a member here and i'm trying to find a tall cannon and hour wheel for it. the only numbers on the movement are 761733. does anyone know what movement this is? jules borol lists a ton of parts but i can't seem to find this movement listed.. this is the only holdup i have with finishing this watch. i don't want a recessed cannon pin!
  2. too late.... both mine are gone now!
  3. i spoke to a few members and decided that if there is another run. i will gladly remove your crystals and ship to cheiftang then reinstall and ship back if you are not capable to remove them yourself. there will be a bunch so i'd offer $25 per watch + $10 shipping to chieftang + shipping back to you. $35 total per watch for me + whatever the AR coating costs
  4. so the fact that i just bought a 111i over a 111g was a bad move maybe? i just love the sandwich dial!
  5. yesterday he got the watch back after raising hell at the AD.... they returned it to him untouched but the lug screws and caps missing! they claim they don't have them and won't replace them. a$$holes. anyone have a dead pasha for parts?
  6. it came with the watch! i have no clue where to get them but they are awesome! thanks bud how about putting it in a jar of pennies and shaking the hell out of it! works great
  7. the 187? i'm 80% sure it should be double but i am 100% sure it looks the part now
  8. 4 parts rich instant coffee 1 part water and 1 part iodine. that's what i use anyhow. you put syrup in your coffee?? LOL! hands are painted gloss black.
  9. thanks bud! i really like these cases too. you can't get called out for having a rep when it's no pam markings at all!
  10. this one i mixed a vintage tritec superlume for the dial and hands, aged in my special recipie of maxwell house syrup and iodine mixed, used a vintage brevet radiomir 47mm case, and airbrushed the dial with a mix of black and copper pearlized for a bronze look. nice clean vintage and different. no panerai markings! i need to get a FF logo for my dials somehow! i think i can have a stencil made for my airbrushing. some wristshots for randy LOL! and a lighted lume shot... sucker is bright!!!!!
  11. as the title says... The Zigmeister i know you don't use ofrei so i wonder where is the best source for parts? i asked ofrei for some 6497 stems for some projects i'm working on and you wouldn't believe the answer these a$$holes had for me they wanted to charge my credit card $15 to look up part numbers for me... then i called back and they have some chick this time who speaks little broken english and didn't understand a thing i asked her.... i'm done with them!
  12. @nanuq......now you are just a freaking animal!!!!! :bicycle: :bicycle: LOL!!!
  13. mine feels tighter to close than my gen. nothing to do with the buttons. tolerances are too tight on the clasp.
  14. just got the AR crystals back from cheiftang and it was a big success! we all owe him a thank you for organizing this. the double coating adds a new dimension to these watches..
  15. i think it's c4 if i remember... i have a total of 4 vco crystals, a bentley crystal, and a 187 crystal, and a super avenger crystal should be coming back. should be 7 of them.
  16. swiss baseplate.. i had an ad here to buy dead unitas movements. i always swap for the better parts
  17. thanks for the kind words the cali dial was shaved down to fit the case. a lathe makes this easier but still not easy! the dial was way too thick as well so it was actually split down the middle like a sandwich dial. hope that clears up the questions. in other words... full custom work. not a simple dial swap. the cali pam i've worn three days straight! never wore a watch so much. i really like it
  18. FF913 brand i did an all black sandwich dial i may peice together. i want to find a way to have black lume that glows like normal superlume. some kind of film over the lume may be the trick.. i may someday sell my one off watches but i just enjoy them on my wrist knowing it's the only one like it! i'll still build whatever someone requests. i have tons of lume, tools, and an airbrush
  19. here is one i did for my personal collection! came out alot better than i planned. titanium case fat crown and crowngaurd swiss 6497 undecorated davidsen 47mm california dial shaved down, split, reshaped, and fitted to a 44mm case size. (not an easy task!) tall cannon pin AR coated sapphire crystal hands set shaved and relumed the watch boys genuine dark brown alligator deployment on panerai deployment unbranded and original!!! i did this one for another member. davidsen's vintage pams come with a very "new" looking lume and he wanted it aged a bit. i split the sandwich and actually use a thick syrup made from coffee and iodine. i basically dab at the lume with my finger untill the right aged look is achieved. many times over and over wash off and redo untill it's just right. hands are done in a similar way but a different application. this is a standard cannon pin upgrade and relume of hands and dial with my trademark tritec color mix for a member's 176H BURN BABY BURN!!!!!!! the coolest of all will be the rolex movement pam i'm building for a member! no sneak peeks on this one. it's really something! thanks for looking
  20. i'm glad you like it i think the vintage lume is really cool. maybe my next personal project!
  21. great call! LOL!! noobs don't know about the search feature! i like his posts. i think they are hilarious. the funniest part is i think he may be serious.......
