  1. i am thinking to do a vintage pam project and i came across this pocketwatch. no idea if it has any value and what the heck the movement is but it looks very similar to the old rolex or cortebert movments. any good for a custom pam? i'll do a full service and clean it up of course.
  2. why do you want to see the video? functions the same as every other chrono...
  3. most definatly 100% fake. sorry to give bad news
  4. nice collection! great strap on the 183. ithewatchboys gator straps are some of my favorites

  7. that's what i was going to guess. wonder if it's one of those 21j auto jobs.
  8. that's good to hear. i really like it! i had the 88 or 898 whatever had the blue dial and i never wore it but i think because it was an auto. i think this one may work for me! just different enough with the blue dial.
  9. you already shipped it.... i was going to say if you were in the USA i'd shorten the stem for you free of charge so you can enjoy your watch.
  10. just pull the movement and try to move it with tweezers. it may be loose in that case may need to be reglued.
  11. 183p custom pink seal no less for my 15 month old daughter!
  12. not from where i see it. this leonardo guy is a real piece of work. you are one of the few guys that say what's on your mind and i respect that. that's what a forum is for anyways right?
  13. i bought a few straps from strapco and they were absolutly the worst straps i've ever seen! cheap so i did not expect much but i didn't expect them to tear in half the first time i wore one! they are not even made of leather the ones i got. almost like garbage bag plastic. i hope he's got some better stuff than that. certainly not the same level as the parts you sell which are very high quality. i still have the other half of the strap that tore down the middle to remind me not to buy cheap straps ever again.
  14. entertaining thread! like a boxing match in text!
  15. looks very cool! was the dail relumed? the lume looks kind of lumpy and varnished in the pics. how does it look in person?
  16. what model is a base dial no sub seconds?
  17. that's the worst 005 rep i've seen! no sub seconds? where the heck did that come from? canal street?
  18. i'm surprised offshore never got to this one......
  19. i've had some people have the watch sent straight to me for mods before they wear it so they have an "out of the box" modded watch. i've considered buying say....10 x 111H at wholesale price from a large order, fixing all the cannon pins, superlume, crowns, and installing great straps and offering them here but the price would be too high for most people. it would be cool for people leary of sending out thier watches for mods and good to have it out of the box fully modded.
  20. i've had over 100 watches and i still franticly check the tracking never had one on a sunday yet.
  21. to tighten the bezel, you must first remove the movement pop the crystal out then remove the center bezel remove the tachymeter ring. under here you will see three screws that hold on the bezel (maybe two, i cant remember it's been awhile). unscrew these and remove the bezel holder ring. clean these parts and the case surface where the bezel rotates very good. apply light silicone grease on the holder and bezel. reassemble the bezel holder and tighten the screws a little at a time untill it turns with the correct feel. reinstall the tachymeter ring, crystal, and inner bezel insert, replace the movement into the case and you have a perfect bezel.
  22. should turn with slight resistance but should not click
  23. the 231 color is dead on to the genuine i tried on last week at the AD. leave it alone and get a rose gold hands set from davidsen to match.
  24. damm fine pics neil! great looking watch as well
