the crown on my gen is only 1.91mm thick! thinner than the palp crowns.. but a different shoulder cut that makes it appear thick and flat.

well, i never wore my reps much just my gens 90% of the time. i just have fun modding them and learning skills i would not be smart to practice on gens! now, i feel fully comfortable to work on gens... they need less work but i like them

it really helps having the genuines here for examples when doing these mods! i just finished this 177 and 111 with my custom lume mix dubbed "c2" the mixe is a match to the genuine color.. not pure c3as many believe but a mix of c1 and c3. also this customer requested i change the font color on the dial from the bright white to the off white as on the gen.. some use the "smoke" method but i don't smoke so i soak them in a tank of a mixed instant coffee (super thick 3 parts mix/1 part water) and a small amount of iodine. i soak for 2 days then rinse and dry. the effect is the font is evenly and lightly stained to a color much closer to the genuine. tones down the bright white fonts! i also did a cannon upgrade and i fixed the loose CG levers (best bang for the buck to make a pam rep more believable) the CG levers on reps are loose and floppy.. my modification makes them tight and move with some resistance exactly like the genuine lever. and finally! as a gift for sending me three watches at once for mods, i added a spare swanneck regulator i had to the basic asian movement on his fiddy! not fully functional but looks much better than no swanneck! the fiddy was done with the same lume mix and the cannon and lever were modded too. i wanted to share the comparison pics with the forum. my gen 111i is the center of the pic. and the fiddy!

ubi, i like the old 300! it's got the planet ocean case!! or does the PO have the old 300 case????? very cool.

weird thing i don't like i noticed today that the rubber strap is tacky like a rep rubber strap and attracts dust like mad! i'll be swapping onto the steel now.. too bad, the rubber looks great and the clasp is one of the best i've seen.

SINN U2 came yesterday! submarine u-boat steel tank! double AR, gas filled 2000 meters, GMT.. it's big, heavy and i really like it!

just got this yesterday and i'm loving it! wore it on the steel bracelet yesterday, today on the rubber strap! SINN U2 gas filled submarine steel 44mm brinks truck for my wrist!

i've always enjoyed having UBI here on the forum.. he is always helpful and very cool. although....i am mad at him because he bought my favorite watch i built and wont give it back!!! LOL! J/K... seriously, the forum would not be the same without "quality over quantity" and $3500 daytona reps.....and UBI!

well..... kind of! my wife hasn't noticed any missing watches and she knows there is tons of them so.....also i just ordered a sinn u2 last night i've replaced the rep collection with gens! my wife has no idea!

the subdail arrangement i don't think can be copied... maybe a rep like the PO ,chrono with wide small subdials but overall, the case is too thin to even fit a 7750. especially one modified with the extra plate required for 3-6-9 subs..

just got this today! finally pried it out of my avatar and on to my wrist! no rep exists yet and i had to have it! killer AR coating, 44mm, in house movement, incredible dial! weird thing...not superlumed! almost like the lume davidsens watches come with... better than rep lume... not as good as superlume.. i may relume it enjoy the pics! and now you don't have to pm me anymore "what is that watch in your avatar?"

i felt funny paying more than both my pams and rolexes...well....more than all my omegas for that matter! for an Ebel...but man you should see it in person! the quality is very impressive and the dial just plain rocks!! you need one
