  1. the mini fiddy makes a nice base for a vintage project! here i airbrushed the dial, aged the case, and applied a vintage lume that is drying now, and a plexi crystal.. pics of the final product will be up soon. just wanted to show the case work
  2. this was a one-off full custom job i did. dsn ti-pvd case, genuine lemania 8-day movement swap, plexi cristal, painted 201-a dial, bronzed hands, custom machined spacer, shaved off inner bezel for clearance and lots more. enjoy the pics!
  3. here is what it takes to make the "ultimate" 112H. this is the one i did for my friend Robi "verbal kint" modem warning!!!! here is a full pictorial of what happens behind the scenes at the flav house! here is how it arrives.. yellow lume, thin crown, recessed pin, loose floppy cg lever, weak ass lume...

  5. LOL! i have one too... i just did this one for fun tourby! the decorated movements i have are reserved for another project
  6. VK! i cannot turn off your music man... it's awesome! love it.. good to mod watches and build yours with your music on..
  7. this is a one off custom peice i made for my own collection.. Yggdrasil from repgeek and rwi handpainted the dial, i used an unbranded 47mm rad case with a bestfit crown and stem, inner side super thick AR coating on the sapphire crystal, lumed in 2 colors b5m for blue glow indices and g8uf for green glow numerals..near the same color uncharged.. i used pvd breguet hands lumed with c3. for the movement i used a genuine ETA unitas 6498-1 with gold hand engraved gears from master watchmaker benzinger. the strap is a 26mm genuine gator from big watch boutique i had this idea after i saw the handpainted dials yggdrasil was offering... they are incredible and truly one of a kind! enjoy:)
  8. looks awesome! i found a pvd company that says with a $250 minimum order.. they will be less than $15/ea case to pvd! if anyone has a bunch they want to send let me know and i'll give you the info. this pvd came out really nice!! much better imo than davidsen's pvd that easily rubs off..
  9. dial and hands are airbrushed with a black/bronze mix.
  10. the owner wanted this beat up and aged to the max
  11. here's either yours or verbal kints.. i did them at the same time so i don't know which is wich.. same batch of lume mix.
  12. how about a lume shot? or should i post the one i took before sending it out.. you want to do the honors? that's a custom mix lume.. looks radioactive!
  13. thanks guys! the 176 is awesome! i am doing a few more.. these are some of my favorites.. i still think the base pams are the most accurate and most satisfying. enjoy!
  14. i'll get some close pics later when i set up my tripod ken.. close ups w/o the tripod look bad anyways
  15. i forgot.... i also by accident sent a pam caseback crystal in for double AR!!! if you need a REALLY CUSTOM pam.............
  16. mix coffee (thick undrinkably thick) and a few bags of tea and some iodine.. toss it in there for a week or so and let it all soak in.
  17. haha! yes... i was planning on a simple fix but could not help myself.. so i did not take before shots. it was supposed to be a simple "make it run again" but got over the top and came out awesome...
  18. i had to share this... it is too cool this is a vintage bulova from the 40's... sent to me because it was completely dead... the movement was totally black and gummed up. no sign of life.. the dial, while it had a nice patina, was pretty weathered as well.. i wanted to preserve the vintage look of the dial so i mixed a thin coat of c3 to transparently cover the old non-glowing lume and still leave the patina. i cleaned all the dirt and stains from the dial before reluming. the movement after full disassembly and more than a few cycles through the ultrasonic cleaner and some fresh lube.. came out to an almost mirror like polish and runs smooth as silk.. i wish i took some "before shots but this is the result.. i cannot wait to give this back to the owner. it's for a friend of mine so i went a bit over the top for him.......fully flaved!! notice i preserved the vintage patina of the lume markers. striking movement in this one!!! they don't make them like this anymore....unless you want to spend big $$$$ the best part what would a "flaved" watch be without the vintage superluminova???
  19. here's a few more with the double AR mod i completed this weekend. cheiftang's AR is amazing... if you see your watch here it's shipping back to you monday AM
  20. depends...if you want a correct color tobacco dial go with the josh, trusty,TWP, ruby version...if you want a purple dial with bright yellow markers.. go with davidsen.
  21. i've had a few conversations with thumb and he's a pretty cool guy. i actually just sold him some tritec superlume recently. he seems to know what he's doing and i'm sure he would support you if there is an issue. i needed a 111h dial right away and he shipped one to me 2 days to my door.. go for it. thumb gets a thumbs up from me.
  22. thicker caseback o-ring and added o-ring in the crown area plus silicone lube all seals.
