  1. was not requested originaly from the owner. the sandwich cannot be seperated at this point without ruining the dial. i can wabi the fonts but may mess up the airbrushing.. after 30+ hours of work on this.. a ruined dial would not make me very happy.
  2. this one was one tough project with one hangup after another! it's a cortebert 616 fitted into a vintage 47mm case with plexis installed. took 2 months to finish as parts are not so easy to come by and i had to do alot of fabricating to make everything work.. the dial especially came out awesome as well as the hands. the case was put in a jar of coins and shaken for about 20 minutes to create a worn vintage look on the finish with clean plexis installed front and rear. the stem sits so low that it wouldn't line up even close to the case hole so extensive mods had to be done here including milling 2mm off the inside of the bezel and modifying the crown itself!! just doing some final tuning now so i can ship it out to it's lucky owner who sent me a few days ago a lemania 8 days movement for a 44mm custom PVD case with clear back and plexis are going in.. and a rolex pocket movement for another vintage 47mm pam..... work work work but the end result is priceless! EDIT: by popular request... the fonts have been wabi'd
  3. thanks! i think she wants another... after all.. who has ONE pam?
  4. looks awesome!! that's my favorite combo for that one. that is a great strap! what brand is it. watchboys?
  5. great post The Zigmeister. obviously you know your [censored] and technician is a battery swapper.... only problem is you are feeding the troll.... i think he wants to stir trouble. technician, why are you trying to teach others to be scam artists? please go away. and TTK is not the guy to mess with.. your just asking for trouble. nice knowing you!
  6. sorry about the luck... really sucks.
  7. i think that mix would be too green... i stay away from c5 except on vintage where i mix orange and c5+c3. i never used BG w9
  8. came out awesome BTW. the bezel is fixed now too like you wanted .
  9. to properly oil a movement it must be torn down anyways.. why not tear down before cleaning?? how does this save any time? not good advice...i see how it will come clean and it probably will be just as clean but are you not properly oiling?
  10. ohhhh...what now? i am german! that's kind of scary!
  11. single inside coat very light AR just like the good rep 183s... here's mine.
  12. it's hard to tell except in the little wrist shots.. the dial color is airbrushed iridescent purple. looks like anodized metal in person. very cool effect. i may try some other colors for another project. i like the paint.
  13. got good use of my spare parts! 100% made from stuff laying around the house..
  14. my 18 month old daughter loves my watches so i built this one off fully custom pam for her! kid friendly edition! pink superlume, custom airbrushing....and fur!! she loves it and keeps saying "waaaaach" ...."waaaaach" ...."da da" ...."waaaa" ..."waaaach" was worth all of my time on this one to see the smile! she stares at it and smiles.. then listens to it ticking by her ear! *update 5/12/07* i just have rodone the dial and hands with pure pink superluminova a bit bolder shade, tall cannon upgrade, seconds hand clipped so she can notice it turning better, and the movement is superlumed as well so she can play with it in the dark. i also honed the cannon pin a bit so it is easy to turn the crown to change the time as she loves to mess with the crown but couldn't turn it before. i also ordered her a new case set as this one has stripped lug screws..
  15. LOL!!! i am right now feeling sick from the ultrasonic cleaner solutions LOL! worst fumes ever..... no worries.
  16. thanks! i should be able to get your VCO done tonight or tomorrow.
  17. this is the second run of the A/R coatings group buy. i agreed to do the work for the members who didn't remove the crystals themselves.. the first pic will show the watches i completed last night! what a night it was.... lots of work but it's all a success and some very nice watches have now come to be! if you had your watch in this run.. i will be shipping out tomorrow usps priority mail so expect your watches back friday or saturday.. let me say this about the durability of these coatings.. i removed the outer coating on my personal bentley and it took hours and hours of scrubbing with steel wool and chemicals!! even to get a scuff it took over an hour of scrubbing! super tough coating and exactly like genuines use.. here's what i had on my plate at 8pm last night...i've always took pirde in a fast turnaround but this was crazy!!! .getting quite busy around here here's the results!!!! this watch...i have to be honest..i did not like the look of it at all.. but after the AR mod.. i love it!! the dial really pops now this is a comparison with a 111h i was also modding (superlume, cannon, lever, ect..) it has the single AR from the factory. compare the reflections of the recessed lights with the 183 and you can see the effect the double AR has.
  18. actually...no! it smells like model glue, coffee beans, and metal grinding...
  19. just attached a swanneck to a standard asian movement as an added gift
