  5. New dial in, I m putting it in for service sunday and having the case refinished. The battle scars dont suit such a slender beast The silver dial is aftermarket, I m guessing after having the two together the date window was tiny and the finish too new. Only one pic for now : Like to thank Justasgood for his help, thanks K.

  7. Still no word from them, the auction was for "Original Rolex Hands Complete Set (Pre-owned)" I take this to mean genuine rolex. I sent them questions before I bought them, each time making sure they were for the 1570 mvt and that I did nt want aftermarket.
  8. Guys, Have you bought anything from a-and-e-watches, I bought some cal.1570 pre owned hands from them and I think I ve been had. Reason I say this is they match the after market hands I got from clarks, and are nothing like the genuine hands I have in silver ? Anyone have any feedback from a purchase from them, I got the hands in 4 days which I was really happy with. I have asked them to confirm they are original rolex as the ad stated, I ll see what they come back with. Hope you can help.
  9. Still a little work on the gap filing to do but its better with a black dial

  11. Thats what I mean by luck if your budget is high, they dont really go for cheap very often. Good luck tho
  12. These projects can take a lot of time to source parts, sometimes you get lucky and if you budget is high enough very lucky. My RO 36mm project is a year in, and I m happy to wait I only need a Gen 2225 mov't( only ). Good luck, seen lots of dials on the bay, not so many hands.

  19. Polywatched the crystal and put aftermarket hands on, well tried to minute hand would not fit-lesson learned on that one. Waiting for two tone dial and gen gold hands to arrive, then its finally time to get a service. The watch runs well enough just want it to be perfect. New pics:

  21. Its all Gen, or at least it will be when the final bits arrive. I quite fancy a champange date wheel now thats been mentioned, I ll see what the silver dial looks like with the silver date wheel thats in the movement. Thanks for the help chaps.
  22. Hi folks I m nearing completion on my 1601 build and I m trying to make the watch my own. Has anyone got a roulette date disc for the 1570, wholesaleoutlet990 has them but I think I'd rather drink cat pis$ than order from them from all the stories. Any other sources ? had a quick poke around cousins/ofrei but didnt find any. I ordered hands from clarks thinking they may fill in till I could find gens, but only the second and hour hands would fit. My watch is a true two tone : two gold hands and one silver hand I just wanted to wear it Hope someone can help, thanks for reading.
