  1. This is one of those super-simple ideas that I kick myself for never thinking of before.
  2. Hamilton Khaki Chrono in the darkroom. Quickie iPhone 4 shot.
  3. Stomach tissue with Giemsa stain to highlight Heliobacter Pylori.
  4. Back to the Seiko Orange Monster at the lab today.
  5. Capital idea! If we had a distribution map of membership (or at least interested membership) then we could see which Time/Zone would be the best to use. Or there's always UTC or the IDL. Ironically, it's likely the TZs with the fewest members are the ones with 2 pillars of our community within, Lani and Nanuq.
  6. Pay them not to wear it? Hell! If I were a watch company CEO, I'd make a Peter North Model if he'd agree to wear it. It'd have to be massively waterproof.....and hypoallergenic. Thus, maybe titanium would be a good metal. Or Tungsten Carbide since it's so, ahem, hard.
  7. Looks like a Hublot. Can Anyone ID the model?
  8. I can't believe I've never done this before, but I looked up Anti-reflective coating in Wikipedia. I was an informative, interesting piece of reading. If you haven't seen it, here it is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-reflective_coating
  9. Quartz movements are very reliable. You may find that the hands work a little differently (serve different functions) than in the Gen, but I have high confidence that it would work fine.
  10. No contest for me. Mid 60s Jaguar E-Type:
  11. I've paid $150 to service/repair an A7750. Non-chrono ETAs ran about $100.
  12. 3717 on Black Buffalo Rally Strap
  13. Secs at 9 SS Daytona today.
  14. I use my Ebel as a cooking timer. This is a rosemary/garlic-rubbed lamb over fingerling potatoes. Before Roasting: After:
  15. +1 for the Seiko. Keep a diver around for wet and other abusive activities. Totally rock solid. -1 for the Invicta. Some friends and I have Invictas. None of us can endorse such a purchase.
  16. I was twelve when that movie was released. My sister took me to it, and then I went back the next day to watch it by myself. I agree about Moore/Connery. I liked Moore better when I was a kid, but now I see Connery is clearly the best.
  17. GMT Master II at the lab today. I can see myself joining the wristchecks more often now with this iPhone4.
  18. There's no shame is digging on Seikos and Citizens. I'd trust my OM or SKX009 at the beach a hundred time more than my UPO. There's a place for reps as well as gens on my winders, but just like deciding which World Cup team to support, that's a personal chioce.
