  1. Sapphire is scratch-resistant, but somewhat more brittle than mineral glass. I would expect it to shatter when landing as you described. Good luck with the part-search and the repair.
  2. Viva Espana! I'll be watching the game at the Northern California Spanish Cultural Center in San Francisco, which is also one of my favorite restaurants. Should be the best atmosphere this side of Madrid.
  3. I would have suggested the G. Sen. 60s as well.
  4. Seiko Orange or Black Monster has a scalloped bezel that helps protect the crystal.
  5. Welcome. Check the Collector section. Buy only from somebody the board thinks is reputable. Somebody here has already made the $100 mistakes, so you don't have to.
  6. +1 They like shiny things, kind of like raccoons do.

  11. Have you tried water and heat simultaneously? Any reaction that happens with water should be greatly accelerated in boiling water.
  12. I think they should rep Sul's signature.
  13. +1 All of my A7750s and Gen 7750s are gradual, but seem to finish by about 2AM.
  14. I never realized what a bad case of camel-balls Chuck Norris has.
  15. Adam Carolla takes calls. He records his podcasts in the evening (PDT) and sends a tweet to announce when the phones are open.
  16. BBC Radio 4: A History of the World in 100 Objects. A brilliant series of visits to items in the collection of the British Museum. Savage Love RadioLab
  17. +1 This gives you a chance to not be a [censored] before being a [censored].
  18. THAT is how a PloProf should look. Out-goddamn-standing!
