What are you guys planning on running out of a store with a watch?

The problem is people keep dropping the word waterproof. There is no such thing only water resistance. Thes guys can do the sealing and testing. But they don't want to because they know if you drown it you're going to come back to them looking for something.

I went through the same thing you did.As hard as this is to believe I was just like you.I was obsessed. It changed when I joined the fourms. I almost got sucked into the 1043 x 768 macro shots with louptetail assist. That is not the real world. The one day I realized that noone had ever noticed what watch I was wearing much less commented on it Thats becuase I was wearng it on my arm, to keep time...like a normal person. All the flaws that could be seen could only be seen by me. Since no one else cared, why should I? So I let it go before it ruined the hobby for me.

Even gens have problems. But the reason your Invicta is better is due to the fact they are a real watch company. They don't dropship everything. They actually see the product they are selling. For every one like yours there are 50 with straight markers but bad movements. Or good movements and markers but stripped crowns. If dealers stopped selling watches based on that then we'd lose half the models that are sold. As houndoggie said you have to take your chances. You might be better off also doing what he said and looking in the sales section.
