  1. Nothing is indestructable except for solid materials. But PVD will take more abuse. Now they will get minor scuffs like anything else but they will not show up as much. But most are relatively easy to repair. With that said, if any wear beyond this happens within the first six months, it should be redone at no cost.
  2. RMFAOL. I have been called a lot of things, but never any of those.
  3. Ahem. Have we forgotten the crystal? For cutting edge style of course. If people didn't do that, we would be deprived of all the Mercedes rolling around on 28s with spinners.
  4. You guys slay me. Man is told he's being demoted from a high level position because the PR guys HE repeatedly choses are can't speak off the cuff. He says: I think we should talk talk about Joe. Whos's Joe? He was a PR speaker at Xcorp in 1979. Damn guy couldn't do it either. And this is relevant here and now? We're talking about you aren't we? It's simple. If I talk about something that has nothing to do with me then maybe you'll forget that it was all my fault. So what's up with the screws falling out of the Skylands?
  5. The Devil is all about embracing the sin of vanity.
  6. People have a tendency to overthink this stuff. The first mistake that they make is in thinking anyone is going to notice or care about the watch their wearing. You'll be fine with whatever you get. Just decide what features are the most important to you.
  7. Did you put that over the cuff for the shot or do you wear it that way?
  8. It's a rep... Sorry. Couldn't help myself. Usually that's the first thing everyone says.
  9. I tune into that show all the time. Mostly for laughs.
  10. I would imagine people will do what they always do. Roll over and take it.
  11. If they're being affected it is on the front end. They certainly aren't tied to any wage standard. Actually when it turns around they'll be doing better than ever because they won't be giving anyone raises.
  12. I don't do the Deepseas. But I did do a red letter Sub. It was given away in the OZ raffle. I showed how it was done here. http://www.replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewt...206&t=50291
  13. You can interchange any dial as long as you have the right tools..
  14. People are often under the impression that PVd is like tank armor. It will scratch like anything else. Much less likely but it will. The difference is that depending on the choice of hue and finish (gloss, matte, etc.) it can be easier to buff out and /or be less noticeable than a regular TT plated watch. I wrote a tutorial on PVD repair that you can see here: http://www.replica-watch.info/phpBB3/viewt...206&t=39724 Don't let it be a deal breaker for you. PVD rocks. And scratches just give your watch character.
  15. I just read all your PVD posts. I don't talk about my work over here. I post all that stufff at RWI. Feel free to look at it there. But you have asked so I'll answer. The key word here is 'Make'. They don't make anything. It's all dropshipped. I build my own pieces in very limited quantities and it is superior to the sweatshop stuff...period. That is not my opinion. It comes directly from the people who have recieved one. Mine are based on the Bamford & Sons model which I owned a gen of. It is what motivated me to start the PVD Project two years ago. And the exposure I gave them is the reason the Pro Hunter even exists in rep form today. In fact if you check the link that was posted you will see that the twins have a Pro Hunter Pepsi GMT which does not exist in gen form. I was the first one to do a Pepsi GMT. Apparently they decided to copy it. so I guess you could say my rep has been repped. The Pro Hunters are talked about more on the forums but in the real world the Bamford & Sons are more exclusive which is why I do those. I don't mess with the new supercase or the ceramic models. so if someone wants ceramic or they want it to say Pro Hunter then that's fine. I could care less. I gave that advice to rosnik not as an endorsement (I would never recommend the twins for a purchase) but rather as clarification because he was specifically for a Pro Hunter. And no matter who he buys it from they are all dropshipping from the same suppliers. Hope that clarified it for you.
  16. No one is going to see that one the wrist. But if it's something that bugs you get a pile of screws and spend a few hours picking out the best ones. Sounds better than a game of Trivial Pursuit.
  17. This is another thread that must not die.
