Anyone tried this?! I got HUGE problem with reflections in my new laptop, try downloading loggingdata in the pits in Barcelona with this [censored], absolutely hopeless, can't see anything at all...

Since I'm a noob (obviously...), I'd like to chime in with my take on it, not that I get a lot of PM's asking questions, only 1 so far. If you spend the energy to join a specialized forum to get info about something and then even can't be bothered to use the search button (and again, and again...) then forget it, you don't deserve to get an answer! The first weeks after I joined, I just read and read... Everytime I didn't understand something, guess what, yes I searched, instead of using up someone elses valuable time on something that's already on the forum. Just my noob 2C.

Hi all! Any thoughts on replacing the movement in the rep to an suitable ETA? Anyone done this before? Got an a rep with a dead movement and started to think of maybe enhancing it, instead of just fixing the problem... It's going to see a lot of wrist time, so that's why it occured to me to upgrade it there also, since I'm going to relume it and getting some real kickass AR. Chime in with your thoughts! Obviously I could send it back, but that wasn't my question...

The microfiche is basicly just black printed on transparent film, since this is a hobbyproject (I assume?!), it's money rather than time that's the hurdle, or? Shouldn't it be feasible to scan them in a good scanner (which is basicly all modern scanners, i.e. quite cheap) with a white background paper, as jpeg's directly into your computer. Scanning each image as a separate picture should work, timeconsuming yes, but what the heck... I have some microfiches somewhere, if I can find them I can try doing this as a test, if you don't have the equipment and don't want to buy something just for experimenting. Cheers, Mac

Not an expert, but it's not just MPH?! Isn't that the reason for "units per hour", i.e. if you do the measurements in kilometers, then you get KM/H instead, or?! Cheers, Mac

How come that the case kits are so expensive now? J & W charges about 1500$, that he's expensive I've understood, but as I can see DW's as expensive, anyway on the casekit he has on iOffer. When I browse all the old threads regarding daytona's it seems that around 500$ bought you a case just a while ago. Freddy, didn't you have some suggestion to make a cheaper "correct case" with a modded 7750 (without the pendulum), for around 800$? That was a great suggestion, to bad nothing come of it (or?!). I love the 62xx series, but symmetrical pushers are a dead give away on the "standard" reps, shame...

Mmm, yeah I know... That's why I never wore an wedding ring, should have been smarter with the signet ring, "I'll take it of later when it's not so rushed..." yeah, right... We actually had a sponsor once who had written into the contract that we had to wear his ties on us! That was quite interesting until we figured out how cops do it...

Yeah, but what the ....! Nothing wrong with a little patina! As stated since I'm plan to use it a beater I also have to take risk of scratching it (or not really the risk, it WILL be scratched). BTW, do I know of the chances of destroying personal belongings in the line of duty... I have had to give up wearing my signet ring with the family crest, after we had to cut it of my finger with boltcutters! Ouch, can still feal the pain... But it sort of saved the finger anyway, probably would have lost the pinkie if the ring haden't taken the major part of the force...

Also interested in a black & white, was just about to order one from PT, but this is way better with proper PVD! Plan to use it as a daily beater, as a racecar mechanic, so it's perfect with real pvd instead of black paint, should be a little more durable... Send me an PM also, kind Sir! rgds, Ranald
