Star69
just got the watch this morning - so far so good - the things that i checked so far (centred date wheel, working clasp , quick water test ect are okay) all in all i love i so far some pics : is it the same like ET V5? lume is blue - but just rep-standard... cheers, Frank
chefcook
looks very nice. At the moment I don't think it is the same as ET's V5. The end links on the V5 do not protrude over the lugs as much as they do on the gen or on the Supreme. The cut outs for accessing the spring bars have the unfinished look of the Noobmariner bracelet on the Supreme but look correct on the V5 if I remember correctly. Cats
Frank i'm certainly not an expert but it looks nice. If i remember it well you bought this one from PT ?? Carpe Diem Cats

bertieng
This certainly looks good. The hour markers are surprisingly accurate as compared to gen. Why can they make the same standard for the Sub Maxi dial? The only thing here is perhpas the bezel fonts are marginally too thin vs the gen/V5? Jkay
Not visible is the incorrect caseback .. it'll be hidden under the caseback retaining ring. It's a stepped back, instead of the proper cone I believe. But that's hidden Is it my imagination or are those tool marks on the clasp, on the polished bar .. stamping marks that were not buffed and polished out? The DSSD is a very handsome watch for people who do not mind it's size. I love mine .. enjoy!!

Beano
Thanks Frank - like many here, I've been waiting to see PT's model. Thanks for being the guinea pig on this. When you get a chance can you post some wrist and lume shots.... much appreciated. Beano
casanile
Finally! Beano said right, thank you for being the guinea pig... I was really waiting for that DSSD, I'm still a noob in rolex but the supreme looks really good.

Jkay
No not the fingerprints. Look where I've circled on the image I attached. I can see that part you are talking about and it's different than the tool marks I think I see.
r@f
Very nice, but the number 10 on the bezel is off center again... I really cant understand if they are making this errors in purpose .. or they are so st..ids...

gioarmani
looks very nice. At the moment I don't think it is the same as ET's V5. The end links on the V5 do not protrude over the lugs as much as they do on the gen or on the Supreme. I have to disagree. Gen to rep on my V5, I don't notice a difference--they look the same: (sorry about the crappy pic quality--lazy & no light) Edited August 6, 2009 by gioarmani
Pugwash
I'm thinking of getting one of these. Is it the best version out there?
gioarmani
Ok...sorry; stupid page won't let me edit the post. No excuse for that last pic. Here's the gen to V5 SEL/lug comparison again:
Jkay
I'm thinking of getting one of these. Is it the best version out there? AFAIK this is an older "version" with a newly decorated/painted movement which has the same color red gears as a 3135 I'm just a newb who has a v5 but I agree with Gio about the V5's best-est-ness. Isn't this Supreme just a v3 with a painted movement? I could be wrong.
gioarmani
I'm thinking of getting one of these. Is it the best version out there? Noobesque jab? I can't tell whether I should crack up or not... Judging by the lack of , I'll guess the latter. Yes, EuroT's V5 seems to be it. From what I've seen of the other new ones PT's etc, they look damn near the same.
chefcook
Gio, yours looks much better regarding the lugs than the one ET shows in his shop... Does it have the correct ref. no. 116660 engraved between the lugs? The Supreme seems to have a wrong 116117 engraving.

casanile
What does it mean please? I didn't read all threads about V1, V2 or V3.. Does that serial number proves it's a V3 with the modded mov.?

Does that serial number proves it's a V3 with the modded mov.? not much - but same serial number = same middle case my wild guess : there are at least 2 factories that mix some available parts together - like the inserts, dials, movements, cases, bracelets .... prob we will never know the goal is to get the best mix
casanile
the goal is to get the best mix Indeed, as ever... So we keep dial and bezel from the V5 And the thin markers rings with the movement from the supreme But you know what really p... me off about the PT's? THAT: These weird crowns must not exist anymore.
