Ordered 8/23 Received tracking information 8/23 Delivered to NY,US 8/29 Looks good to me, the date is just a little bit off when you look carefully, however, I'll touch it when my gen baton dial comes in next couple of days The bracelet looks good to me however I will consider a gen pro2 bracelet. boncovi Posted September 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted September 4, 2009 Well, I didn't want to risk it and took it to my watchsmith (Tam in Chinatown, NY) It was late and I'll pick it up today in 6-8 hours. If the question is for me, I got it from Josh, I think it was $330 something, The dial is from ebay, it is listed at $399 buy it now, but I hit "make an offer" and put $300, the seller accepted (I checked his feedback and saw one sold for $300 with best offer). First dial that I received had a scratch on the small dial at 9 o'clock position. the wavy part was kinda "dinged" and it was showing the brass underneath. Nothing major bur visible to naked eye. I contacted the seller and sent it back, as he had multiple units, he sent me another one, which is perfect as you can tell from the images. I'll post the photos as soon as I get it back. I will probably go with the batons dial and a nice Breitling croc strap. The watch I ordered was sent out today, probably will have It by next Thursday or Friday. I wanna throw in some sociological thoughts: This would not happen in Europe, or let's say not here in Germany. I don't know why and I'm happy that you are able to enjoy this kind of attention but I wonder what makes the difference. Asking unknown people you've just met in a subway about their watches (or clothing or whatever) is rather "critical": Most people would not enjoy this familiar talk to a complete stranger.
