Gee...over AU 10k. But, a very beautiful Newman dial, most likely gen. If not, I will be really surprised.

I have one question though? What will be the fair price like this? 18kt solid gold case + swiss 727 + gen (like) dial.

Neither the dial (incorrect fonts, for starters) nor the movement (wrong regulating system, for starters) are genuine. =@

I agree freddy. It's pathetically, incredibly fake. I'm sure a close-up would easily call out the bezel insert too. Scam artist like this should be thrown in jail,. A member here even thinks it's a gen dial!!! (not!)

Holy crap, now over ten grand USD! These people are out of their friggin minds! :pardon::bangin:

I cannot blame inexperienced buyers. There was a time, not too long ago, when I would have salivated over that POS. Ignorance is bliss. :animal_rooster:

But that seller should be outed. I wonder if a bunch of us should, 1-by-1, post questions (in the form of comments) in his auction? :whistling:

Wow! $15,488.00 US. Looks like two inexperienced guys and one guy w/ 140 buys on ebay were fighting for it. I wonder what the winner's going to do when he finds out it's a fake/franken. Too bad these guys don't know about Phong. They could have saved themselves a lot of money.

I emailed the seller, hoping my 'question' would get posted to both scare other potential bidders away &, hopefully, attract the attention of ebay's security team. But he just reiterated what he said to others & it never got posted. :bangin:

The seller could have a partner bidding it up.

That seller is very crafty, I wouldn't put it past him. You note in his description he was very careful not to make any false claims.

ebay security was alerted by a number of people. Hopefully, they took action before the auction ended.

It is 1 thing to build frankens for yourself & tout them as gens to your friends, but it is another kettle of (stinking) fish when you try to pawn (sell) them off as gens to unsuspecting buyers.
