Quite new here, and I would like to build my own Franken project! :)

What do you think I can do with this?

What kind of movement can I fix in it? Parts missing etc..

Is it a good project?

Gen case with white gold fluted bezel, and Gen dial and hands.

Best regards! :victory:

It's perfect for 2836-2. :victory:

Thanks for showing me the directions! :victory:

A day date movement is the best?

Otherwise I seen the 2824-2 or the 2826-2 they aren't better?

Maybe on the 2826-2 the date will be too big, either the height of the movement.

I didn't receive the pieces yet.

Also I paid for the case, dial and hands 260

Nice start to a good project.

You need:

-ETA 2846 (slow beat movement; correct for a watch of this serial/reference production)

-Taller hour/min/sec pinions

-Stilty ring

-Tudor hands (stick/DateJust style 90/150/25)

-6mm Twinlock crown

-Case clamps

That should get you going...

Hope this helps.

Or locate a Rolex 1575 along with a 6mm Twinlock crown/tube & you have a franken-gen (100% gen watch composed of 100% gen parts that came from different sources). Depending on your timing/luck & condition of movement, you should figure spending $900-$1,300 (plus a few hundred more to have it serviced). Optionally, you could add a gen Jubilee or Oyster bracelet, or leather strap with or without a gen Rolex buckle. But the options will put you into the price range of a complete 1601 ;), so, unless, like some here, you value the benefits of a diy project, it may not make financial sense.
