Aging your hands

Hi!

So after reading a lot here is my first post in this excellent forum.

I wounder what you think is the best way to age your hands (or for better understanding the hands of a watch ;-) )

I tried salt acid, some cleaning stuff with bleach, mold killer (actually I even tried mold killer in combination with salt acid what lead to an chlorid smell in my flat for about 3 days and sour throad :black_eye: ...)

But in the end the hands just looked like fresh polished.

So what do you guys use?

Next thing I want to try is a car cigaretlighter to burn them... :g:

I actually got a quite simular effect with a broken glas, worked for me...

the thing with the coffee is defintly a great idea, will try this on the lume, thanks.

I also thought about cigarett smoke, also gets your hands look real old after some years...

@Freddy333: thanks for the links, I already read this and instandly forgot the baking procedure, thanks.

I guess by 550 decrease you mean fahrenheit....

Did you grill it or did you use hot circulation air?

this is what I copied from an old Madasboot posting:

You can achieve an old look by submerging the hands on heavily concentrated salt water for a week, let them dry for a couple of days and then repeat the process but instead of water use vinegar (white and not red wine vinegar).
