By-Tor Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 That's a nice one. Although it looks quite complicated watch to get accurate. Is the bracelet brushed?

bwhitesox Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 That doesn't bode well for the rumour that there is going to be an asian 7753...Surely this would have been a good candidate for one.
Mickey Padge Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Damn, the sunken date font just kills this release for me
Bike Mike Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 We all knew the DW was going to be sunken. Is it the pic, or do the lume indices look like a disaster?
RLudlowe Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 The big problem for me is the bracelet - should have diagonal-cut links (Pilot bracelet), in the pics it looks like they're square.
fijiman Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 i wonder how close it is to gen is other areas.... i really want one but not sure if V1 is the way to go.
RLudlowe Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I can't imagine why they would put a different bracelet on this one, they've been making decent pilot bracelets for Chronomat Evos for years. Maybe it just looks funny in the picture due to perspective or something.
importr Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 It looks like the "lume" on the indices should actually be matte glass pieces like on the Flying B. Also, the square pattern in the centre is hard to make out. Apart from that I like the black dial and the grey, but i really like the gen blue dial with black sub dials...which hasn't been repped?

RLudlowe Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) The subdials on the gen have a unique ridging - I don't see this on the reps. Second thought, maybe I do - it shows up better on some models than on others. You can see it on the white and silver dials. I would have to guess it's on the others as well, you just can't see it in the pics - Edited February 25, 2010 by RLudlowe

Don’t know why Breitling did this, but they did. Looks a lot like a standard Pilot to me - Luckily this is not a major issue, you can get a gen pilot new for $700, used off the bay for a lot less. Mercury Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 That seems disappointing. The picture really don't look that good to me. Hopefully time will fix this.
wheaton26 Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 the numbers on the bezel kill this one for me. it reminds me of a pac man game. no thanks on the gen or rep.

Thought the same as you, until my AD showed them to me side by side and pointed out all the differences. Mostly in the case, but showed how the angle cut in the bracelet was less.
P4GTR Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 marker at 6 is squished. Why are the factory pics so bad? The watch would look nicer in better lighting. Haven't taken to the gen, let alone the rep. Bezel font is disturbing, looks like something from Tron.

By-Tor Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 Keep in mind that the factory pics are often terrible. I don't know who takes the pictures but he hasn't got a slightest clue about watch photography. We've seen this many times... the pics are so bad... lighting and all... they can be deceiving.
fijiman Posted February 25, 2010 Report Posted February 25, 2010 I wonder who will take the first dive to try this one out...
