maxman Posted March 19, 2010 Report Share Posted March 19, 2010 Thanks for the pics of this legend of a watch. When the monster came out 42mm was considerd a big watch. Although a decent size I dont think a 42mm would be considerd a monster as far as size go's anymore. That being said I feel this watch Is one of the best divers you can get for the money, virtally Indistrutable. I love the Seiko brand, a great watch with a great heritage. Seiko became the first to market an automatic chronograph(calibre 6138,6139) when It deliverd Its first models to dealers In may of 1969. The Zenith El Primero was the first automatic chronograph presented to the public but It was Seiko who massed produced them. This topic bas been hotly debated for years. In thailand, these watches are going for 800-850 usd from the retail store. the price started on January 10 thailand launch at 18810 baht ( 600 usd), but went way up, it is going to go higher in the future..
