Martyd3 Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 I decided to document (somewhat) my 205A build. The FGD 205A dial was lumed with a mix of plaster of paris and NoctiLumina, which I tinted. It worked perfectly as it does not glow brightly and does not last very long. Just like tritium would be. At this point, the dial had not been sprayed with lacquer yet. For that matter, it probably wasn't even dry yet Now the dial is finished with two coats of lacquer. You really can't tell from the pic, but the lacquer does darken the lume, so go a shade lighter than what you want to end up with. Dial off to replace the cannon pin. New cannon pin polished and installed. Dial mounted to back plate and installed. Tinted hands ready to install. Sorry, went crazy with anticipation at this point and forgot to take more pics Finished product ... The case is a short lugged EL with no strap dimple. It has been drilled for Pre-V screws. The crystal is a replacement of unknown origin with no AR. The CG is a Nembo and the crown is from Tourby.
