mastergod
All, Has any of us ever bead-blasted a Rolex Sports? Considering this for a Rolex "fantasy" project ("fantasy" should be replaced with "should exist", mind) and would love to see. If you have any pics af a blasted Lex, please share Cheers from sunny Oslo! MG
jmb
That would be great for a "tool" watch!
redwatch
I believe avitt has bead blasted a watch or two. He posted a good thread on repairing an old watch with bead blasting here
jmb
Red, I like it! A perfect "matte" black finish. I think MG is just thinking of bead-blasting and leaving it at that, still would be a nice non reflective beater...
redwatch
Project X Designs had a nice Limited Edition Submariner that was bead blasted with the CG's removed and no cyclops. It looked really sharp! I love the bead blasted satin look. It definitely takes the look up a notch or two from the standard brushed or polished IMO. alligoat
I just picked up this Yobokies '656' military mod watch It's got a bead blasted finish. LOL, I had Harold change the seiko hands to mbenz hands. I'd love to get a bead blasted bracelet for it. I know Avitt does the DLC, but there must be someone around who does bead blasting... redwatch
Avitt can do bead blasting as well I believe. Of course, it would be best just to ask him about it Or maybe he will pop in on this thread
amptor
Rolex bead blasts part of the clasp in some of their watches. It looks realy fancy when they do that too. I held a gen new model airking like that. beautiful watch.
Ronin
Obtain a "PRO-HUNTER" dial for it, and the fantasy could be semi-plausible.
