HauteHippie
"Binh Cam Tran, who pleaded guilty last year to charges including trafficking in counterfeit goods." He wasn't manufacturing the parts in his house, but rather receiving them and assembling the finished products I would think. Some of our dealers do the same here in the USA. BobDog
I agree with Chieftang that he assembled them. 5th paragraph reads: "Authorities say Tran fabricated hundreds of thousands of fake Rolex watches in his home near Philadelphia" Still, that's a lot of watches. Dizzy
seized 24,000 watches, and enough parts to make a million more? WOW thats a LOT of parts
nakortheblue
If the parts cost even $10 per watch, that's a $10M inventory!
HauteHippie
If the parts cost even $10 per watch, that's a $10M inventory! Yea, something doesn't quite add up IMO. This is probably journalism at it's "best" here...
kbh
Probably a total of a million parts turned into a million watches. Kind of how they price out large drug busts at street level prices. Makes for a better story.

ubiquitous
Probably the east coast Canal Street crap provider... I agree. Probably an easy target to make an example out of as well for the authorities...
