plaifender
Hey guys, Bought a gen crown and tube from for my UPO from cousins and just now realizing that I'm not sure if i needed to have also bought a gen stem as well. Do I also need a gen stem in order for it to work??
ubiquitous
Well, it's probably better that you did buy the new stem; sometimes, when swapping the crown and tube out, there is a small difference in length thus resulting in either having too long or too short of the existing stem as it relates to the new parts. So, having the new stem is good to have, just in case
plaifender
Can't find the part number for the stem. To be honest.. for some reason I thought that the stem came with the crown......
Francisco
Can't find the part number for the stem. To be honest.. for some reason I thought that the stem came with the crown...... i think you can find eta 7750 stems (fully compatible) in ebay. If not, cousins' reference: VAL7750401T9 regards, Francisco
krpster
The stem you need is dependent on the movement in your UPO. Chances are good it is a 2824/2836 or clone of it in which case you could use the ETA stem which is common to all. They can be had as per below. Ofrei part number 401/1029 Cousins part number ETA28012401 Or you could reach out to the community as I am sure someone probably has a spare or two knocking around in their parts box. In the end a new one is not necessary but like Ubi said it can be handy just in case.
