omgiv
Hey Guys, This one should be pretty easy for someone to answer. What color date wheel should a GWSD 1665 have? I have seen some that look white but it is hard to tell in pictures. Thanks in advance!!!

freddy333
The earliest versions were silver, later were white & white is what Rolex fits during service. So either is correct (Silver)
omgiv
Thanks guys!!! Do you know when they went to white? The dial I am possibly looking at is the rail dial off of eBay and was wondering what color would be accurate. Thanks!!!!
Ronin
Either should be fine. I am looking at building something similar that will be circa late 1970's (5.8mil serial). I have a nice white datewheel that I will most likely stick with. If it were a 'Red' I would be a little more purist. I want to say after 77/78 you are safe. Nanuq
Just whatever you do, for the love of all that is holy, DON'T put a champagne datewheel on that beauty.
omgiv
Thanks a lot. I haven't set a timeline yet for mine. Maybe I should do that first. Is your case stamped with that serial? Thanks again!!!!
