There's one in NYC on Ebay too.......in fact i think it's the same one looking at the pics.

They don't seem to be selling for a premium, which is nice. List is £2690 in the UK.

I have one on order but after seeing the movement/case pics with the caseback off (which isn't pretty), and of course all the discussion about the DD module itself I'm not sure if I want it anymore. Wuh.

Someone posted pics with the back off in a forum. Movement looks tiny in the case, doesn't look solid or high quality, stem looks very thin and spindly etc. Looks made to a price very obviously.

The DD (Dubois/Depraz) module is what sits on the standard ETA 2893 movement and provies the chrono functions. Search the web for never ending discussion on it vis a vis reliabilty, servicability etc. Basically 99% of watchsmiths won't touch it if it breaks and will just replace the whole module ($$$). Basically you'd be [censored] to have one break out of warranty (after 2 years, or if you bought it out of warranty) and then send it to Rolex who proceed to charge you for a new chrono module or even new movement. All speculation right now of course but it's basically the same movement and module as many other manufacturers use.

The movement is a big turn-off, but with looks like that I'm tempted to be shallow! Patience will pay off, though: The post-release spike in demand didn't materialize, and the early-birds on eBay have been steadily dropping their selling prices.

Ubi's superduper franken 7032 is making a lot of sense, in hindsight...

I expect we'll see the rep next Spring/ early summer then :)

I'll see you next April in what will be a year-long "Tudor Heritage Chrono in 10 days!!!" thread.

In the meantime, let's all sign an online petition that we can present to The Chinese Rep Factory!
