MilSub Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 I just put my PloProf back on the rubber and figured I had to do something about that clasp so I grinded down the marked area with my Dremel so that the edges are flush against each other. It seems to have done the trick, it now stays the way you adjust it. An easy fix that still lets you use the micro adjustment. I hope this helps a few of you with the same problem.
mastrmindalliance Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Sorry I don't understand... what was the problem before?
MilSub Posted August 17, 2010 Author Report Posted August 17, 2010 Sorry I don't understand... what was the problem before? When you closed the clasp it pushed on the micro adjustment so the strap loosened up when you wore it.
thogaa Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Useful advice I'm eager to see if the V2 clasp is any better
mastrmindalliance Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Must have been lucky (for once heh) neither of mine have this clasp problem.
thogaa Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Must have been lucky (for once heh) neither of mine have this clasp problem. It's all in the wrist (Mr Bond) - My Plof clasp does it all the time But one of my mates doesn't have any problems when he wears my watch.

eunomians Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Nice possible solution to a very annoying problem. I'll try it out on my crap rep buckle. In any event, I bought an OEM clasp to alleviate any potential woes.

thogaa Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 Update: I got the new version of the plop today. The problem persists with the V2 clasp - The strap losens if I shake my wrist. I guess it's time to order a gen clasp

richard lawton Posted September 12, 2010 Report Posted September 12, 2010 Hi All, Had the same problem with my V2, just opened the adjuster and added 2No better springs inside (Stronger springs) so it stays in the micro adjuster position you choose. Easy fix Regards RICHARD

Easy fix Regards RICHARD How did you open it up? My V2 clasp doesn't loosen, but I still think it needs stronger springs.
thogaa Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I Dremeled my V2 clasp the way OP describes and it now works perfectly.
