gplracer
I am sure Freddy or someone else will chime in. I have no idea. It does not look like a v72.
polexpete
I Have this movement but i dont know which is Interesting, has a lot in common with a V72 maybe an early version and maybe not a Rolex ... Can you give us more info, do you have the case with it and where do you source it...? Cheers P.
lhooq
How many subdials in front? Looks like a Valjoux 22 or 71 to me. I've no idea if it's really a Rolex movement, though. Also, the pushers and crown suggest a Rolex 2508, but the lugs don't. If genuine, the watch may be one of the reference numbers (<4500) listed here. freddy333
Not sure of the model, but it looks like a 1940s Valjoux (not a 72). If the chrono bridge is gen (which it looks to be), this could be a rare (& valuable) Rolex chronograph.
GarrettP1
It sure looks like a Venus 178. (I have one from an older Breitling) Manual wind, triple register. I always meant to see if a Rolex Cosmograph dial (excluding footdials) would fit. Garrett
alligoat
Valjoux 22/71. Bicompax is 22, tricompax is 71.

alligoat
The problem with the V22/71 is that it's a 14 ligne movement. The V23/72 is 13-1/4 ligne. So you can't fit a V22 in anything made for a V23. If you only have the movement and no dial or case, you're pretty much stuck to using it for spare parts or selling it.
