concepta
I recently acquired a genuine IWC 3717 case from one of the members, and for the first time i actually have the chance to go 100% gen! Adding a gen movement, dial/hands and strap/bracelet. But then it is not a franken anymore ...so i came up with the idea of keeping ONE of the small rep chrono hands, just to have it 99,99% No fun with 100% gen...right? Pictures will be added during the progress!

OSRep
I saw that case for sale and immediately thought "CONCEPTA" - glad you picked it up man!! Hmmmmm, I actually thought making a 100% franken was a rep-geeks ultimate goal? This ones going to be special! GL buddy

krpster
Very cool. Technically would it not still be a franken? ie: the whole made up of collected parts albeit in this case all gen. Either way it will be awesome.

concepta
this should be interesting... now not to knock on logic's door... how close would the price of the gen to this franken gen Maybe 1/3 to half price compared to AD
Guest jsuperman17
Mmm interesting.. I guess its the sentimental value that goes into the watch... Being part of the whole process will negate any thoughts of getting a gen huh
Member X
Dammit, I wish I had the money for something like this!
JohnDorian
Its kind of like one of those WatchCo Seamasters. I wouldn't hesitate to sell something like this on a gen forum as long as it's explained its a parts watch. I would bet that watch would sell at $2250 or so easily in a gen forum.
