At the top right hand portion of the screen there is a drop-down box. It is located just to the side of my username. Usually I click on the arrow and the box appears. It is current open and will not retract. Anyone else experiencing this strang phenominon?

Your browser is hosed. Try shutting down the browser, clearing cache and bringing the browser back up. It should come right back.

Same here...

Is my browser hosed? Should I try shutting down the browser, clearing cache and bringing the browser back up? :whistling:

Well, you could try that, or you could try shutting down the browser, clearing cache and bringing the browser back up. Whatever floats your boat. :drinks:

B, it's a problem with the site. Using windows explorer, drop down boxes stayed down, and thread screens turned 90% black. Clearing the cache made no difference whatsoever. Try downloading google chrome, that seems to be working well with the site

I'm on Firefox 3.5 and it's working perfectly. I wonder if the newest forum software add-on requires a feature set that older browsers don't support?

My work laptop has the black screen and the drop down box issue, yet my home laptop is perfect.

Same here, computer at work has the problem, mine at home doesn't. Work is running Windows XP and I believe the latest Internet explorer. At home Windows 7 and the latest IE. i shut down everything, cleared all the old passwords browser history, temp files etc. and it still comes back with the locked drop down and the black screen.

The site is working perfect for me in all browsers. One suggestion for all of you with problems; Download CCleaner (an essentil utility on any PC's. Don't think there is a Mac version available); http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Download, install it and run it. Make sure all the boxes below Internet Explorer is checked in the Windows-tab and if you have any other browsers, have a look at the Application-tab and check all boxes below the corresponding browser. Hit "Analyze" and let the program do it's thing. Once you get the results, hit "Run Cleaner".

Fyi, cc cleaner didn't do a thing. That was the first thing I ran and it didn't help. I was running IE7, and I have since upgraded to IE8. Everything seems to be working fine now with IE8.
