Thor
Wathcer71, has send a PM via old RWG to all members on the list below... we did it that way so we're sure the original member is answering and not someone else who pick the same name one some of the other boards in order to make a quick buck... jkerouac
Bump. My RWG is one of my favorites. It's beautiful, comfortable, and I wear it often. But it detracts significantly from my enjoyment of this watch to know that other participants in the project were stiffed. That's why I contributed to this fund. KenMc
I don't know who told you that I got a refund of my $50 deposit, because I never did. I do admit that I waffled on my commitment to the watch, I asked to cancel, but in the end I remained on the list with my deposit safely in the hands of BLADE. Yes, in retrospection I was a DUMBASS !! I recently stated that I feel my $ 50 went to maintenance on Blade's Acura. I have nothing to convince me otherwise. I will discuss this $ 50 with Kenberg. KB
@Cucumber_Jones I assure you all the members on your list are to be commended for their generosity in helping to put an end to this fiasco so we as a group will not have any dead weight left over from our old board holding us down. In fact all these members are included in another thread and in that thread they will all receive the accolades they deserve, however this thread is about getting to the bottom of the problem ie; how much do we owe, the thread all the donating members are on is about solving the problem. If you feel strongly enough that the two threads should be joined please post it here for our consideration. Thank you Ken PS Just for everyones infomation I laughed at TT's post because it was damn funny, some don't agree, to them I will say sorry but please remember that I am only human. watcher71
Well, the full point of this thread -- as I understood it – was: (1) to get the people who got screwed to respond the PMs and emails at old RWG, so the new RWG administration would know how much each person would accept as a refund (if anything)…so a fundraising budget could be created to finally put the RWG watch fiasco behind us. The point was not to toot anyone's horn. and, (2) to serve as a level of transparency to assure those who "chose" (and those who continue to choose) to donate -- that the money being raised would actually go towards something "real", i.e., the specific sum total of refunds going out to those who were being refunded. With that said, the people donating funds are the most important part in this equation. While I feel bad for all those who were screwed (and I was one of them), the new RWG does not owe a penny to anyone. The real good samaritans here are those contributing their hard-earned cash to this effort. The new RWG is simply (1) trying to right a wrong that should not have occurred in the first place, and (2) taking steps to ensure that it is not lumped in with the bad acts of those who are actually responsible for what occurred in the past. And the new RWG "is" its membership, which seems to be responding rather well. Hopefully, those who choose to donate to the cause will do so or continue to do so.
