gen tudor 94110 vs PT 1680 case

some quick and dirty pictures, biggest glaring difference is the case back, making an exact rep a difficult process. The rest of the case though is close enough in my opinion to serve as the base of a wearable snowflake rep. The gen is on the top

the crown guards "curve" the opposite way, the gens are sloped down while the rep are sloped up. The crown is also wrong, though I have a gen crown to replace it.

I did some work on a seiko sub to tide me over until I get the tudor put together, a sterile mil-sub rep.

Glad to see you got it! The 1680 has a lot of CG for you to work with, but it looks like the 1680 has the potential to be a cheap and fairly accurate Tudor Snowflake.

Can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks for the comparison shots, and indeed, the 1680 certainly looks like a suitable base to work from :) Really looking forward to seeing another snowflake on the forum :drinks:

You may want to be certain the Tudor parts will fit in the "PT 1680" case.

I had intensions of buying one built by The Zigmeister from crockey but it turned out the parts didn't fit.

At least that's wat was apssed on to me.

My mods are going to be limited to snowflake dial and hands and a gen crown, so the true craftsmen on the board are going to probably look at my creation in horror

It would be really cool if we could find a place to get good case-back engraving done for reasonable. Unfortunately I don't want to shell out several G for a 3 axis CNC engraver/router...

cheap b@st@rd, if you got one of the 3-axis routers why would you stop as case backs, couldn't you do whole cases. Add a 3-d laser scanner and could you not make a copy of any case you stuck in it?
