signumboy Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 As the title says . Which wrist do you wear your watch on. I was always led to believe its left , but I have know idea why. And if if I wear one on my right it feels just odd. Though I guess the addicts on here wear one on each wrist at the same time
whoever Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 right one too for me...just feels right....
jmb Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I think a lot depends on whether left or right handed.
signumboy Posted January 13, 2011 Author Report Posted January 13, 2011 Well I'm right handed so that rules that one out,
pabler Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Normally right, but these days left. When I travel for more than two days, one in each wrist.
Furu Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Well I'm right handed so that rules that one out, A right handed person would wear his watch on his left wrist. When writing the watch is then out of the way.
TeeJay Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 I know two left handed people who wear their watches on their left wrists... For me, it's just a case of that being the first wrist I wore a watch on, so it feels weird to wear a watch on my left wrist.
wat44 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 right handed, but wear on the right the crown is the reason - I like it facing away from the back of my hand actually its more like I really dont like it digging in to the back of my left back of hand! "right is right"
plaifender Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 When I was a kid I would only wear watches on my right.. now I can only strap it on my left. I don't think I could even get the watch on my right if I tried nowadays.. straps are tricky! especially my Blacksteel!
Bike Mike Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Left for me since this is the hand I use to steer a car with while the right is on the wifes leg...this way I can admire what is on my wrist that day.
maxman Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I think a lot depends on whether left or right handed. Indeed,Im right handed so I wear It on my left. I have tried to wear It on my right and I bang the F out of It,not so when It's on my left.
maxman Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Left for me since this is the hand I use to steer a car with while the right is on the wifes leg...this way I can admire what is on my wrist that day. Mike
cougar1 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I thought it was supposed to be worn on the non-dominant wrist, so the opposite of your dominant hands wrist...so as to protect the watch! I guess at the end of the day who give a fcuk. Only think is if you wear it on your dominant wrist then be prepared for the watch to get more wear as you are going to knock it and bash it into things more often!
ExtraExtra Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Wear it the opposite of your writing hand.
Bike Mike Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Strange... I wear it around my neck. You hang with Flava Flav?
Utheman Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Left for me also and right handed. Sometimes I carry a pocket watch and I usually check it with my left hand.
Ztech Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 You hang with Flava Flav? Nah he hangs with me!
mjmj Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Left. Although I am left handed, I ve grown up wearing on my left. Never really thought about it until I tried on my right a few years and yes its a very weird feeling. But I do occasionally wear on right just to see if I have changed my mind. I tend to knock the watches into other things when I wear on right. Less control!
TeeJay Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Left for me also and right handed. Sometimes I carry a pocket watch and I usually check it with my left hand. That's interesting that you say that, as if I ever carry a pocket watch, I always check it with my right hand, and have the chain so it its in the 'watch pocket' of my jeans Of course, such an occurrence is extremely rare as I feel uncomfortable if I don't have a watch on my wrist
