mastrmindalliance Posted January 30, 2011 Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 An emory board or nail file. Don't use the puffy/soft style ones and use the finer grained side. Patience and taking your time is key to this procedure. You need to be meticulous on all links. Lube the bracelet with some kind of dry lube when you're done. Many new bracelets are very stiff, so I tried working the Flitz into the links and then flexing and twisting them. The polish quickly creates the equivalent of a couple years of use, freeing up the stiff links and making it feel much more silky. I used this (extensively) on a Yuki 7206 and it already feels decades old. You can rub it over rough edges and smooth them down, but it will polish the link faces as you do... so you'll have to brush them again when you're done. I just used a liquid metal polish soaking and flexing on my Yuki 7602 also. I wanted to wear the inside of the links like you said, to mimic tens of years of wear. Mine is super stiff as all the links are jammed together from the springs. I worked it for a few min then threw it into the ultrasonic. Still stiff though. How long did you grind away on yours for?
