I want a LONG hour hand (going out from the centre as far as practicable)

is it possible to take both hands off and somehow just have the minute hand off the hour hands spot on the pin?

Most likely this will not work. The hand stack usually has a pin opening for the hours hand that is much larger than the minutes hand.

You might be able to find a hand from another movement that will fit your hours pin,

Or you might be able to cut a minutes hand and solder onto an hours base,

Or you might find a Yobokies hand that will work.

Good luck!

I'm not sure what it is you're asking...??? You want an extremely long hour hand?? Yeah it's possible to take a minute hand and resize it to fit the hour post... but then what? You put another minute hand on the minute post? Both hands are the same size?? Please clarify your question...

So you want to make a panerai regulator? I dont see why widening the hole of minute hand to be the size of the hour hand would be a problem, You'd just need a steady hand.

A single-handed watch? Cool!

What about... A stealth no-brand base dial with stealth black lume, and a single sterling silver (or 18k gold) hour hand, that would look crazy! What about asking Francisco for a custom job, he could probably modify one of his hands to suit :)

Let us know how it turns out.

Yes - need the length to get a good idea of time with only hour hand

Hi, have no idea wether ths helps, but IF the hrs hand on the big Egiziano is significantly longer than on normal pams - maybe that would do the trick.

I wasnt joking!

does anyone have a source of long hour hands (im guessing A6497 manual wind would be the best mvt???)

prefer pam style or military/sturdy look compared to dainty and thin
