Ronin Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 See pictures here http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item1e5904f592 or From auction: -vs- my Gen Looking at the auction, the "movement photos" are throwing me for a loop...
redwatch Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Sunken date wheel and running seconds dial too small. Interesting looking rep though. DLC'd case with RG hands? It's a nice combo, even if it's not real
plaifender Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Cool Rep. I'd say that it's probably not a DLC treatment, and probably just a general PVD treatment. The watch is not "gun metal" enough to be DLC. Looks pretty cool though. what's that mark between "6" and "9" in the six oclock subdial though?
Niqlndym Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Looks legit to me. I don't think it's a rep.
mastrmindalliance Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 I don't think the datewheel is sunken, just no bevel on the window. Googling this, not extensively but not cursory either, turns up nothing.

It's a nice combo, even if it's not real It's just a different BTR series, with another dial configuration. Here's the stainless version: The auction example is just likely from a limited edition, targeted at the Asian market. Looking at the texture in these pictures, it definitely looks better than rep quality.
By-Tor Posted February 9, 2011 Report Posted February 9, 2011 Yes, it's genuine. The PVD and Ti versions have different subdial configuration. Check out my review and Bricky's gen:
Ronin Posted February 9, 2011 Author Report Posted February 9, 2011 Yes, agreed on the genuine, BUT that 9:00 Subdial, and non-beveled date window and light print on the datewheel look awful IMHO. Funny thing is, I always used the 9:00/6:00 subdial connection as the quick tell. Now knowing Ebel produced non connected subdial dial's like this gives some 'cred' to the rep makers. Wonder if they were looking at the exceptions when they designed the reps.
