Raikiri Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Hi, I'm after a decent 42mm PO rep (budget around $250-300) and I need it by March 5th at the very latest as it's a birthday present. I ordered one from Mary but there's been a slight issue and it may take a while to get one, not their fault at all. So I was wondering who was the best to order from? Thanks. Oh, and I'll post pictures when it arrives

I wouldn't be too hopeful about getting the watch before March 5th. Customs can also be an issue. One time customs held my watch for 2 weeks before releasing it..

That's fair enough but I would stand a better chance of getting it if it's sent now rather than in a weeks time. Thanks though, I might just wait for Mary, like I say it wasn't their fault
Raikiri Posted March 10, 2011 Author Report Posted March 10, 2011 Watch arrived today, as promised some pics: Wrist shot (I've yet to adjust the bracelet at all so it's huge on me at the moment): Shot without using a flash:
If you see Kay Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 well, you got a very limited PO edition to the OP: I hope you know EXACTLY what he means by this....
Calebt Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 I hope mine don't come this way. Ordered from PC march fourth and never got QC pics. Now I received tracking number and watch is on its way. Now what?
arizac Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 You should've follow our advice Raikiri....order next time from Josh.
Raikiri Posted March 10, 2011 Author Report Posted March 10, 2011 to the OP: I hope you know EXACTLY what he means by this.... I do indeed and have contacted Mary about it.
danza1812 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 How could they? Is this a one off, it's amazing what a difference a couple of words can make to the whole look of a watch. It's similar to the upos with the wrong size lettering....but so much more obvious. Serious though, why do the factories do this?
bitmit Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Ok, someone enlighten the ignorant here (that would include me) :-) My guess - it's missing "Co-Axial Chronometer" on the dial? I see dings on the bezel insert at 20 and 50 too, but experts please chime in. I was thinking of getting one of these. From Mary, too.
mojako Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Yes, you are missing some words on the dial
danza1812 Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Otherwise it looks ok. How about a gen dial and hands? Will look cool.
plaifender Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 woww.. this is a first for me!! Never seen anything like that! They should at least send you a new dial! Keep us updated
chrgod Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 Well, in one sense it is more "correct" since it is a non-coaxial movement.. The Chinese rep makers never stop surprising, that is part of the fun with this hobby. Not a bad watch as it is. Good looking! This version can be known as the 42UPO_NCOX
Kal Vilmer Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Is there a new 42mm PO? I've seen one on Connie's site and it looks like it has the anti-counterfeit laser engraving on the caseback, no happy feet and looks like a better hipocampus on the caseback. Am i correct or is it a new model?
Jkay Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Yes you are correct. If you search, there are many excited reviews of this new gem.
Jkay Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Absolutely yes. It's an ultimate edition 42mm model. Many many excited posts with photos are to be found here.
danza1812 Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Would like to hear from OP, did you get a replacement?
S3g0y Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 Ok, someone enlighten the ignorant here (that would include me) :-) My guess - it's missing "Co-Axial Chronometer" on the dial? I see dings on the bezel insert at 20 and 50 too, but experts please chime in. I was thinking of getting one of these. From Mary, too. But it seems to me that now the omega logo is correct and it doesn't sit so low on the letters! Looks like a gen to me!
Jkay Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 God help us all if the factory has a large batch of bad dials. They won't fix it until they sell all the bad dials. This has happened before.
Kal Vilmer Posted March 14, 2011 Report Posted March 14, 2011 The dial looks good actually, of course it's missing the coax wording, but, what the heck is going on with those crowns? Is the He valve open? it looks huge!. the regular crown looks big also, but not as out of place as the fart valve.

This has happened before. I just got this version but with correct dial, someone else got QC picks with this dial and was able to catch it and get it replaced with the correct dial.
