Guest jsuperman17
Thanks andy.. Someone said to me that the caseback is too thick? would this be a good candidate to convert to a 5512?
flex
Is it the new Cartel? It kind of looks like a thick 1665 case to me? I have to say that I have no experiences with the new cartel 1680 though
Original Scope
It looks just loke my 5513 from Josh...Even the Original polex design.
Guest jsuperman17
Sigh see this is what I mean I can't get a straight answer.. So the fact it says polex has no significance? Josh's 5513 also says polex?
pismo
Ok for a MBW for me too... same DW / dial / no thick case , great profile & design or crown guards .

Guest jsuperman17
i know this may be insignificant but does anyone notice the 3 being different? the pic above is the one from josh's 1680.. i looked up all the mbw and all i can figure out is that the 3 is significantly different... ubiquitous
To me, the entire font size/spacing, etc. looks different. Much smaller and in a more compact area on the one from Josh.
Guest jsuperman17
The three on my new soon to be mbw is slanted to the right where as the 3 on josh's is very straight.. Get what I mean?
alligoat
What about the SN on the other end of the watch? L341,xxx. The early MBW 1680's were marked 5513 and had an 'L' serial which of course is totally all wrong. But real 5513's ran til circa 1990, hence the L serial which MBW copied from a real case. praetor
good for you... I'm saving up money for projects so I've been scouring dealer sites for cheap replicas... MBW is too expensive for me. so far I've only found one good candidate for a 5514. It's from a dealer in RWI. http://www.timeshops.net/product.php?id_product=5385
