Jkay
If you would like to try a beautiful folded link bracelet, I know Mary @ Watch International sells them and they fit this watch (I have one)
MilSub
The best place to find a fat font insert is on VRM- Vintage Rolex Market. But expect to pay over $100 and easily $200, maybe w/o a pearl. Aren't there any aftermarket fat font inserts? In that case I think I'll stick with this one

Biker
Very good project, and I like your bezel..seems very "old". Perfect aging! good
cht
Props for being bold enough to go after the date window on the dial. Did you just use a small file? Looks great! The cg's could be slimmed and trimmed a smidgen more. The bleached bezel looks great, love the look. COngrats on a nice looking watch! I was lucky enough to pay $150 for a brand new "NOS" vintage Rolex bezel on ebay, keep checking out the auctions from time to time.
MilSub
Today I did some relumeing of my 1680. I went with white lume (green glow) and I think it turned out quite well. I'm no expert in relumeing so like the date window mod, it looks good an arms length away but up close it's a pretty dirty job.

BGGodwin
Looks really good! I'm getting ready to send mine out to have the crown guard done and the baby lumed up. Is doing the date window worth it? I have a MBW and I'm wondering if I should have it filed a little while it's out?
Dizzy
The MBW datewindows are a good size, but I think they are still smaller than gen. The PT window is REALLY narrow. You need to open it up top to bottom and also on the left hand side closer to the center of the dial.

highoeyazmuhudee
I'm getting ready to send my MBW off and have the CG worked on... is it worth having the date window filed while it's out? id say no. its better than good enough, all you can do is make it too large. its agreeable the PT is obviously tiny and needs work. MBK leave well enough alone

Janek Sarnowski
Its nice to see that you went with the white markers on the dial, the fake aged yellow ones just don't look right. Nice project you have there : )
MilSub
I think the markers looked too white and new after my relume, so I put the dial and hands in the oven for a few minutes. I allso filed away the date magnifier, scratched the crystal up a bit and repolished it. Now it looks much better in my opinion. The markers are still white but with a slight fade to them and the partly polished out scratches in the crystal cover up my less than perfect lume job. Allso, without the date magnifier the date window looks much better. The crown guards still need some work, but they don't bother me that much so I'll do it when I have time.
