Whatever123 Posted May 20, 2011 Report Posted May 20, 2011 Yes, no problem - FxrAndy installed a gen Unitas in my 005K two weeks ago.
tessa Posted May 20, 2011 Author Report Posted May 20, 2011 Yes, no problem - FxrAndy installed a gen Unitas in my 005K two weeks ago. thanks i will do
sonicpath Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 only problem is the Swiss only a low-beat not like Gen(hi-beat)...will tell when the sec hand sweeps.
gianton Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 I had mine changed to a high beat A6497-2 Seagull movement, working great +5 secs/day and very quiet!
ussr Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Had mine swapped today! Will compare with low beat when home...
Whatever123 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 only problem is the Swiss only a low-beat not like Gen(hi-beat)...will tell when the sec hand sweeps. I don't think that's a big issue - the seconds subdial is so small you hardly see the second hand anyway. No one will notice except you put a gen next to it.
Polynomial Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 What about the CP? Is the out-of-the-box ETA CP long enough?
Whatever123 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 What about the CP? Is the out-of-the-box ETA CP long enough? No, afaik you need an H3 CP.
tessa Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 Does anybody know were you could by an eta 6847-2 ?

gianton Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 And where do you buy seagull? Here mate http://www.helenarou.com/6497-mechanical-watch-movement-for-44mm-45mm-47mm-649744454717.html I bought two of those and my watchsmith put them on my 005K & 026K
tessa Posted May 22, 2011 Author Report Posted May 22, 2011 Here mate http://www.helenarou.com/6497-mechanical-watch-movement-for-44mm-45mm-47mm-649744454717.html I bought two of those and my watchsmith put them on my 005K & 026K Is that high beat mov?
gianton Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Is that high beat mov? Correct, high beat A6497-2 from Seagull factory. H3 high cannon pinion set is included.
Jkay Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Im curious why people are swapping the movement in a new watch. Is something wrong with the one that comes with this new rep?
gianton Posted May 22, 2011 Report Posted May 22, 2011 Because the movement that comes from the H-factory is very noisy. A plus is the smooth swipping of the seconds hand too.
tessa Posted May 23, 2011 Author Report Posted May 23, 2011 Here mate http://www.helenarou.com/6497-mechanical-watch-movement-for-44mm-45mm-47mm-649744454717.html I bought two of those and my watchsmith put them on my 005K & 026K trusted dealer? Not very well informed site.
Whatever123 Posted May 23, 2011 Report Posted May 23, 2011 trusted dealer? Not very well informed site. Not a trusted dealer here but they're OK. I bought from them a couple of times from the shop and from eBay.
