005k swiss movement

im going to change the movement but is this the movement i should change or would it be better with another swiss movement?

I had mine changed to a high beat A6497-2 Seagull movement, working great +5 secs/day and very quiet!

I don't think that's a big issue - the seconds subdial is so small you hardly see the second hand anyway. No one will notice except you put a gen next to it.

No, afaik you need an H3 CP.

Tessa that movement ( Presume you mean 6497-2 )will set you back $500 plus dollars...Best to go for the high beat seagull.

Correct, high beat A6497-2 from Seagull factory. H3 high cannon pinion set is included.

Im curious why people are swapping the movement in a new watch. Is something wrong with the one that comes with this new rep?

Because the movement that comes from the H-factory is very noisy. A plus is the smooth swipping of the seconds hand too.

Somebody who sells eta 6497 with CDG (Cotes de Geneva plates) . I see that some pam's on the forum has an eta with these bridges. Where do they get them ???I really want to buy on for my 111j
