Ray T Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Picked up a 1680/8 gold watch, came on a croc strap with a gold daytona buckle. had a service where crystal and bezel were replaced, and the seconds hand from the looks of it. paid $5500 for this vintage piece, no box no papers. How does it look?

alligoat Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Looks great to me! I'm not a fan of the Daytona buckle, but you certainly got a good deal. Congrats!
torresp Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 5500$????? amazing price and amazing piece. Wear it with good health and if someday U want to sell it just drop me a PM...
Ray T Posted May 25, 2011 Author Report Posted May 25, 2011 waiting on a custom alligator strap to replace the current one, it was sized for a small wrist. bezel is currently a bit tight, everything must be too new. need to have that checked out, don't think this piece will ever be for sale, this thing is 33 years old or so and its in amazing condition. if the seller ever finds the gold bracelet, which i would think its brand new and hidden away somewhere, i get first dibs as well. will take some more pictures when i get home, this is my first yellow gold watch, at this price for a vintage, i thought this was too nice to pass up.
