w0lf
I haven't talked about the project for awhile, but I've been keeping busy, and it's about time I posted an update. Midway through reshaping my first batch of Phase II cases, I made a decision to include the removal of strap notch from every case in order to take it one last bit closer to the venerable Bettarini designed, Montres Valgine manufactured case that eats the loops of your expensive PreV straps for breakfast. My case of course will not do this unless you're wearing 7mm thick straps. A few quick shots from my humble PreV lab, this is where I spend most of my nights now, and probably will continue to for the next 2-3 months: Cases in misc. sculpting stages: The leaning-twisting-tower of cases: Look ma, no notch!

Watchmeister
Wow! I can't imagine how much work those cases are but you are bringing Pre-V to a whole new level. Everyone should put away their Fu cases and save them for a more contemporary project. If you are building a Pre-V these are state of the art. And yes, I can't wait for mine either. Watchmeister
So does that mean that his cases are more authentic looking then the ones that come with the reps? About a 100x better for Pre-V. There is nothing else even vaguely close.
Bertini4u
About a 100x better for Pre-V. There is nothing else even vaguely close. Thank You for the insight. I have another question does the 127 fall under a "Pre-V"?
Jkay
Thank You for the insight. I have another question does the 127 fall under a "Pre-V"? I'm sure someone will tell me I'm full of crap but the 127 "1950" is a piece released in 2007, which copies Panerai's own style from the 1950s ... like a self-homage. Vendome bought Panerai in 1997 I think?? So the 127 would not be "Pre-Vendome"
marlin22
Pre-V means Pre-Vandome I believe they were out from 1993-1997, the 127 came out in 2002. These cases are 44mm the 127 is 47mm.
